Madness at IGN?

As if we need another thread like this

http://xbox.ign.com/articles/400/400360p2.html

Last three line:
We'll have our final installment tomorrow as we conclude our look into the future of Xbox. What tasty bits will be revealed? Here's a hint: He's an Italian plumber with a thing for red overalls.

Has, yes. Always had, nope. In early games, they were red.

I still vote "misleading" though.

I wonder if this is a Vice City reference? Tommy was Italian and could change into overalls as one of his alternate outfits. He's not a plumber though.

Could be, although Vice City has already been announced for 2004.

And "purposefully misleading" is the winner.

I'm shocked

that's retarded. Xbox doesn't need a "mascot" - their target audience isn't 8 year olds... and Xbox surely doesn't need Mario as a mascot. IGN is stupid.

IGN has lost it. The Xbox section, anyway. They rarely have anything substantive, and instead waste subscribers' money by writing useless, idiotic drivel like this. And don't even get me started on their half-assed, hair-brained "speculations". That goes for the rest of the IGN staff too. Makaze's "guarantee" that BC wouldn't make it out until next generation hardware was ludicrous to a baffling degree, as was his guess that Fable had a 50/50 chance of coming out on Xbox 2 hardware. They're just unreliable, unprofessional gaming "journalists".

No way am I renewing my Insider account.

I'd vote for misleading......

Wouldn't pay much attention since they are out for only one thing to get your money! and most of the time they send you garbage like I just read above and another thing evertime I try to log on their website or access their forums it's just an exercise in fustration since it just slows my browser down.

I don't think it's been announced. Every article I've seen on the Xbox (and Cube) version cites the same Investor's Business Daily article as their source. But if there has been an announcement then I would, of course, stand corrected.

Oh yeah, IGN sucks.
