Whenever Nintendo decides to bring out online versions of Mario Kart, F-Zero, Mario Party, etc., if it happens next year, five years, ten years, I'll be there!

Finally a game I can be really excited for.

I remember we played the first one so much in college that I swear I heard sound effects from the game while driving down the street like "Yippee!" and "Yahooo!". Dang the original was great. I'm still very upset they didn't take a "risk" and include online play. Having your own screen would be great.

On a side note, I remember when we played 3-player games on the N64 and in place of the 4th player screen we'd put the playboy channel using PIP on the TV. It fit in the bottom quarter of the screen perfectly and made it really tough to concentrate on the race sometimes!

First, zelda, then fzero and now mario kart. that's 2 of my favourite n64 games right there. can't wait!

Seriously, why do you bother? I certainly wouldn't spend my money after getting burned so often.

I don't think EVERY game was better than its predecesor, but I feel most have been.

My suggestion to you is to save your money and find another console to play.

I'm glad to see Koopa Troopa making a comeback, he was my favorite from the SNES version, I had to switch to Toad in 64 when they took him out because they handled similar . I'm also happy they put Diddy Kong in the game. Miyamoto wasn't kidding when he said they were doing something different for this game way back at last E3. I can't wait!!

I hope they give us the release date soon.

Wouldn't it be pretty cool if they gave away a free game disc with the old Mario Kart games like they did for Zelda? They could add stuff like Diddy Kong Racing, etc.

The free game disc is a great idea!

Diddy Kong Racing has characters owned by Rare in it, so I doubt it could be included. But the N64 version alone would be a great bonus.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a bonus disk.

Zelda was one of the most (maybe the most) successful preorder campaign ever, so they'd be dumb not to try to repeat it with their big games in the future.

My money is on either November 18 or 25, 2003. Hopefully earlier.

Yeah, i could care less about what CNN reporters say, let alone any other mass media outlet. I actually saw an Entertainment Weekly refer to the Zelda bonus disc as a great game on the SNES that still looks great on the Gamecube. Half the time they don't know their ass from their elbow.

Hey, so where can you preorder to get that bonus disk? Kiddin', that bonus disk would so kick a** if it eventually happens.

I am only slightly disappointed about no online play, but that aside, I am so ****ing psyched to play some serious Mario Kart on my cube... I can not wait...

The footage shows what looks to be one of the "character specific" weapons being used. Baby Mario launches a huge Chomp-chomp onto the track. The Chomp-chomp pulls his kart while knocking everyone in front out of the way!

Well, I haven't bought a console since my Dreamcast, but the time has come. What are the chances of them packaging a system with this? Have they done it for any of their other big titles? Sorry for the newbie questions. I haven't been active in the Video Game world for a few years.

I REALLY hope I get to perfect more "Super Shortcuts" (Wario Stadium style). I'm sure many of you became as untouchable as I was at that game.

By the way, I would easily pay an extra $100 for a disc with the original two games on it. I'm glad they would never try to charge me that much if it actually happens, but I would pay it.

I've been trying to figure out how to get MK64 for my Dreamcast for the last 3 years, but I guess I just didn't have the dedication it took to figure it out.

I saw that as well. But man...that game journalist CNN guy who does that column thats been posted in this forum said that the Mario 3 footage was Super Mario 64???? lol! And the anchor sounded like she had never seen a video game since atari by the way she was blown away by the madden footage, but thats to be expected.

Bust, they've been packing their biggest titles in promotion for the Gamecube. Most recently they added Zelda: The Wind Waker to the free game with purchase of a Gamecube, in addition to Metroid Prime, Mario Part 4, or SFA (Resident Evil Zero was swapped for Zelda). I don't see them adding Mario Kart to the line up but they might, still, you really ought to pick up Metroid Prime or Zelda .

Mario Kart: Super Circuit on the GBA technically is two games in one because all the courses from the first Mario Kart game are included in it along with the new ones. I still have a hard time as ever on the rainbow road (the one with no rails) .

Excellent point. And one that hadn't crossed my mind. Zelda it shall be. I haven't played a Zelda game since the first N64 one (not even sure if there have been any since then).

How is the outlook on the Sega Sports lineup for the GC? Will I be able to get NFL2K4, and MLB2K4?

The only other games I feel I can't live without since having my DC are Crazy Taxi and Hydro Thunder.
