Anyone buy Slugfest 2004 for Xbox?
I got it yesterday and MAN is it buggy. I thought it was the disc but its not scratched and my system is working fine with all the other games
In the 1st hour of play, it froze twice and I had to shut off. Then starting up two different HR derby's, I experienced:
The players bodies disappeared (just head, hands and feet).
Right side of the field disappeared (large void)
Colors of uniforms became white/blank DURING play.
Its going back today to return it but I was wondering if anyone has it for GC or PS2 (I own those consoles too). I'll probably grab it for one of those systems instead.

I played it just fine on the XBox. And a friend of mine who works at Midway said this would never have gotten through testing, so it's probably a manufacturing problem (or your XBox...?).
BTW, don't knock it, Slugfest is one of the most entertaining arcade-sports games out!

I had a similar problem with Serious Sam -- it is likely a manufacturing defect and might affect large portions of the games on shelves. Write down the long number on the inner ring of the game side of the disc -- this is the batch production number. Then, exchange the game wherever you bought it. If you have the same problems check the new copy with the numbers from the original and take it back (yes, again) and explain exactly what is going on. They should allow you to try to find one on the shelf that has a different production number.
But, if nobody else is having this problem, you probably just got ahold of one bad disc.
Hope that helps. I was planning on picking this one up, so please let me know if you get it straightened out or if a new copy works fine.
