What are EBGames or GameStop Trade-In Policies?
I'm wondering what the trade-in policy is. I though i heard trade in 3, get one free.
I have a few games i would like to unload. For example, could i trade in Madden 2003, NCAA 2003, and Jet-Set Radio for a FREE game. If not, what kind of credit do they give there????
Also, could i mix and match games? I have PS2 and XBOX games i would like to unload. My PS2 games may be a bit older though...don't really touch it much these days.
THANX!!!!

DJ, almost every promo for "Trade XX in and Get XX for free" does NOT include Sports games UNLESS they are the recent year (Now 2004 titles, 2003 don't count). So those 2 Sports games would be out, and im almost certain JSRF would be too since its too old.

Their policy is to rip you off.
It pisses me off how they sell used games for only a few bucks less than new copies, yet they will only give you as low as $2 for a used game. And they won't even do even exchanges with used games.

As of two weeks ago, Madden 2003 will get you $20 (as will most non-baseball 2003 year sports games for professional leagues). NCAA less than that. JSRF less than that.

I wouldn't pay 3 cents for JSRF.
Also the sports games should work if they do have that deal on them. 2003 is the most recent football games still. The only 2003 games that I can think of that wouldn't work are the baseball ones.
I imagine JSRF is excluded as it was a bundled game (and has been all over ebay etc.).

Avoid trading in like the plague, you will get bent over. I've only done a few trade-ins at GameStop: back in January when they had the awesome trade-in deal for Ghost Recon, DMC 2, The Getaway, and Resident Evil 2 and 3, I traded in some PS2 GH titles for the PS2 games, then I purchased the cheapest PS2 games they had on the shelf($7.99-$9.99) and turned right around and traded them in for RE 2 and 3. No way on earth I would pay $80+tax for RE ports, but it was definitely worth "sticking it to the man" for the ports by trading in cheap crap games off their shelves......
The other time I traded in was when I realized just how much Ghost Recon and The Getaway sucked. I tried selling them for about three weeks, and after no interest(don't blame anyone either - I will avoid all Tom Clancy games like the plague from now on), I traded them in, got $62 in credit, and picked up Tenchu.
My friend took a load of N64 games to both EB and Gamestop to trade in, but they offered him 5-25 cents on most of them. The highest price was 75 cents for one of the games(Mario 64 or something). Complete rip-off.
