Game nerds, you will find this funny....... (Zelda related)
So I get to Gannon today in Zelda: Wind Waker. I'm playing and I get through
when all of the sudden I can't move Link anymore. I am like ****, ****, ****! My batteries on my Wavebird died during the battle. What an opportune time for that to happen!

What, and you just died!? That's when you're supposed to make one of those amazingly mad dashes for new batteries or a new controller or something. Pathetic!

I think my WaveBird batteries are getting low. Link seemed a bit slow to respond tonight. I was just sailing around so it wasn't an issue but I can see how in a fight that would suck.

My Wavebird so far has shown early signs of the batteries running out. The most common is that the character will still move even if I'm not touching the stick. I usually replace them then to avoid this problem.
Wavebird=Best controller ever.

BTW, I love having rechargable batteries. I always have two AA batteries charged up just in case the 2 die in Wavebird die. I wish every console had a 1st party wireless controller available.

I think that's Ganon's new form of attack.... draining all battery power from Wavebird at the beginning of the fight.... you supposed to unplug your wavebird and plug it back in just after he starts wailing on you.
Duh, it is so obvious.

I have the Wavebird and a regular controller with extension cord. For Zelda, I'm opting to use the regular controller to make use of the rumble feature. The cord doesn't really restrict me at all, and I didn't want to feel like I am missing anything by not having rumble. To me, the Wavebird is just more of a convenience when I'm just casually playing one of my older games like Super Monkey Ball. When I have other people over to play multiplayer, we use the wavebird, but only because it's one of my total of three controllers.

I think the most devious puzzle put in a game was in the original X-Men game for the Sega Genesis. I was never able to figure out how to defeat the Mojo World level until I discovered an FAQ years later. At the end of the level, the game tells you to reset the world. I could never find a switch or button to push before the timer hits 0, and give up due to not wanting to replay all the way through again. The trick to beating the level is to literally hit the reset button on the Genesis. Who in their right mind would just hit the reset button while in the middle of a game? Sure, a hint was laid, but it still wasn't obvious to my young mind.
