homosexuality in games

After visiting the gay dance club in the game anachronox, I began to ponder which other games feature gay characters or gay scenarios, both funny and perhaps discriminatory. I can only think of the following examples

The Sims PC.. I've heard that you could have a same sex couple who falls in love, but I have yet to try it out.

Anachronox PC.. in the red light district, you can talk to a few of the gay dance folks and you can even participate in an erotic dance on stage to make more money.

Toonstruck PC.. the gay scarecrow was obviously gay, perhaps a little bit discriminatory too.

GTA 3 PC.. seems like some of those handymen walking around, looking for their tools, sound a little bit too much like Richard Simmons.

Hmm.. any other games that people can think of.. whichever platform.

Mikey, If you notice in GTA 3, the construction workers walk around and have a high voice, but tend to quote lyrics from The Village People. The quote that sticks out the most is "You don't need to feel down." from YMCA. Good notice.

Scribe Shanky in Brave Fencer Musashi (PSX) is extremely effeminate and says lines like, "The Princess is very delicate . . like me."

I found it rather funny and perhaps mildly offensive.

For a while I always thought Luigi may have been. But then again it's Nintendo and they're not into that.

I've also heard the same thing in the Sims.

There is a wildly eccentric bisexual character (he comes on to you regarding your gender) in Morrowind. On the official boards for that game there have been hundreds and hundreds of posts complaining about him. People need to lighten up...one gay character out of a thousand? Sheesh.

I'm pretty sure Seymore from Final Fantasy X was flaming - his proposal to Yuna was just a hetero coverup.

Supposedly Eagle from Capcom vs. SNK 2, at least in the japanese version, was gay.

A few people have said that Lara Croft is a lesbian, but I haven't seen any hard evidence.

Of course you would not see any hard evidence if she was a lesbian

You can have a long conversation with a lesbian in The Longest Journey. I'm sure there were some homos in Conker's Bad Fur day too.

What about in Shenmue when Ryo keeps asking everyone where sailors hang out?

I'm shocked no one has mentioned DOA Extreme Volleyball.

The opening movie with the gal feeding the other gal the strawberry with that seductive push into her mouth...

Torrid!

Not to mention the whole buying gifts to attain fondness from the other girls.

Naw man....Dan is 100% hetero. He just wears pink because he is secure with his heterosexuality and uses the pink to psyche out his opponents. SAIKYO!!!!!

Cloud from Final Fantasy 7 has a good chance of being gay. C'mon, he dressed up as a ho!
