Never played Zelda before but bought it and its a good game. Loving it.
Btw, EB has a deal that if you resell Zelda and the bonus disc, you will get $45 bucks in credit(but u have to do it by 1st May). So if you finish it, just return it to EB with the Zelda coupon, and you are all set. Great deal if you asked me!!

vhgong,
I think that's actually a pretty bad deal. I think when some time passes, the OoT bonus disc is gonna be a collector's item and may be worth quite a bit on its own. I'm not gonna unload mine as long as I still have my cube but YMMV.

I won't be able to play this for a while. I'm out of town for spring break so I can't pick up my copy. Chances are they'll be sold out when I get back as they only hold pre-orders for 48 hours. On the bright side I quit my job so I will have some time to play it and still get my school work done, at least until I find another job anyway.

Quick Question?

Call me a late bloomer. I just picked up the bonus disk this past Sunday. I'm about 3 hours into the first game.

Do I need to complete the bonus disk to enjoy the new Zelda game? Will I miss part of the storyline if i do not complete the bonus disk? Finally, how long does it take the complete the first game on the bonus disk. I take it that the second game is the first game with more dungeons? Correct me if I am wrong, thanks...

I picked my copy up last night along with a GB Advance to GC connector cable. Does anyone know if this same cable is going to work on the GBA SP? Thanks

Any place selling this today w/o having a preorder? I have a pre-order w/ BB, but I want to play it tonight. I checked Target and Wal-mart, and neither is selling it until tomorrow, at least in my area.

Will you still get the bonus disc if you buy it from Target or Wal-mart tomorrow?

It is not unlike playing a Miyazaki anime film.

Each Zelda game is pretty much a separate story (with a different Link according to Miyamoto) and you don't need to play one to enjoy another. They each hold up on their own.

There are references to Ocarina of Time in Wind Waker. However it is not necessary to complete OoT before playing WW. Although I would play OoT first.

The Master Quest game on the bonus disk features the same number of dungeons as Ocarina of Time. The difference is that many of the puzzles/enemies in the dungeons have been changed around.

This game is just soo cool. I wish I could have played longer before I went to work...which is where I am now. Oh well, I will just have to dream about playing it until I get home.

you suck!

I called a couple of BBs and they won't break the "street date" of tomorrow. Oh well. I'm not feeling to well, so I may take a sick day tomorrow anyway.

Anybody notice the blur in the first village with the background? As you get closer to the house/people it gets clearer. Or is it suppose to be some kind of heat effect? Besides that minor gripe, a very very very very fun game.

I don't know about that... I personally wouldn't want to play A Link To The Past without having had played the original Zelda first, nor Majora's Mask without playing Ocarina of Time first. I think Zelda 2 and The Wind Waker do stand alone though, and all the games are great in their own right...

Pretty good game so far. I just got through the first dungeon and damn that level was long as helllllll. it's taken me 5 hours now just to get to and past the first dungeon... oh and btw you gotta love games where the bosses don't just take straight fighting to kill... you actually have to do weird things with the level to harm them like in the original soul reaver and metriod prime.
