Movie Gallery is this grubby video rental chain that we have here in IN. I never go in there because the BBV and Family Video stores are so much nicer, but I stopped by there the other day. All their rentals are $1.99 for 1 week every day, including all video games. I rented Tenchu 3. They had several (but not many) new games there. I've always avoided renting games because it always seems to me that $6 is a lot of money to try a game out, but at two bucks a week, I could beat most games for a few dollars. This should really help cut down on my video game purchases, which should help out my budget a lot. Just wanted to alert anyone interested.

Must be just your Movie Gallery since it is "grubby."

I have rented some from mine but it is usually around $6 a week like Blockbuster.

I haven't rented from there in quite some time. The price drop sounds real nice though I might have to start renting games again heh. which one in IN?

I think it's a recent price drop. Last time I rented from them (admittedly a couple of years ago), they were comperable to BBV in price. There were big signs all over the store "All Rentals $1.99"; you might want to check again, brian.

I hate my local Movie Gallery stores. They look crappy compared to other rental stores in the area, have bad selection, and as of the last time I walked in to one(last summer), still had their high prices. The only reason I went there last year is because they opened a new store and for a while they had 99 cent 5 day rentals on everything in the store.
Maybe I'll check out whether they have that 1.99 rental price though.......
