Does anyone here actually play Unreal Championship?

Just picked up the game a few days ago ($24.95 from EB/New... another fast price dropper.) while I was back home during Spring Break. Anyway, picked up Xbox Live! yesterday out of boredom and gave it a spin, fairly impressed with how faithful to UT2k3 the game actually is, a fairly impressive port considering it still looks quite good (Still a good bit of slowdown, but I was expecting far worse....another botch job like Serious Sam comes to mind.)

So, just curious if anyone on here still played it ... or ever did. Dunno why but hey, maybe find some competition on here

On a side note, I played on a few servers with the headset on but the Mic turned off...

...I honestly have not laughed so hard in months now -- it's amazing how pissed off people get when you kill them a few times in a row, and man is it funny when a group gets collectively pissed off at someone, hillarious hillarious stuff.

I got it through a trade a few weeks ago, but I haven't played it much yet. Too many games, not enough time.

If we have a few people here who play, maybe we could organize a game. I suck, but it's still fun (sounds like SOCOM).

I paid full price when it/XBox Live came out. I'm laughably bad at the game, but I play it moderately frequently over Live. I haven't experienced any slowdown personally (some slight, intermittent lag if I connect to a lousy server, but I keep a closer eye on hosts' speed now). I seem to remember hearing that the XBox can get a little overloaded if it's hosting and has AA enabled -- supposedly an upcoming patch corrects this. I also generally play with the headset on and mic off. If the mic's on, it's purely by accident, and everyone gets to hear me mutter profanity after profanity. BTW, did anyone else feel the need to turn down the sensitivity for the controls? I got it to where things feel more like Halo, but maybe I'm at a disadvantage now since I'm seemingly unable to kill anyone unless it's purely accidental.

I played for about 3 months from when it came out on Nov 15. Then I got bored with it and sick of people telling me I'm a cheater for playing a juggernaut w/ a lightning gun. I played enough to get me up to like rank #75 overall in deathmatch, but I haven't played for about 2 months.

ctyner, you're right, playing at the lower sensitivity absolutely kills you in this game. The goal is to be able to play with the highest sensitivity you can possibly stand.

My gamertag is Rabbit77, maybe we can play on an XServer sometime.

I only bought it cause I wanted a LIVE launch game and I normally hate sport games so football was out of the question.

I only go on to play when the guys from work are over and want to play it. I too suck BAD at the game and really don't feel the need to improve my game at all. It's a fun game and was worth getting but it just got old very very VERY fast.

As soon as I bought MechAssault I stopped playing it all together. I would of sold it or traded it in but since it's a LIVE game and a pretty good multiplayer game I figured I maight play it again in the future.

no, i liked UT Tourn on the PC, but i couldnt get into UR Champ.

I used to play UT Tourn on sniper servers, and was lots of fun... UR Champ is just waaaay to fast paced for me to enjoy it.... i bought it for $25 @ EB, and retunred it for a store credit.

i am sticking to GR on live
