Just don't let it suck away your life (I've personally known people to quit their jobs so they could play EQ, and I've known people whose marriages ended at least in part because they played so much).

I am playing it now on the PS2 and I am having a blast with it. It is definately addicting as everyone is claiming. In one weeks time, I've manged to get my Halfling Druid to level 16, start a guild with some other players, and signed about 10 ledgers (alot when you realize how huge the environment is)
I've never played this type of game before as I am not much of a PC game player but EQOA has rejuvenated my interest in video games. $10 a month isn't that bad when you consider that the game will be evolving with upgrades that will be released as time goes on. Not to mention that you may not want to play any other games either
There are differences between the PS2 version and the PC version as I understand it. No player vs player being one of them, though it hasn't been ruled out in the future. I recommend you rent first. If I'm not mistaken, I believe when you rent the game, you are given some kind of a unique key to set up an account with Sony. You may want to contact your local video store for details. Good luck with your decision.

I have heard that the PS2 version is more action based, while the PC version is a lot more open ended, and you can kind of do a lot of nothing..
Any comments? My online RPG experience is Diablo 1&2 and Phantasy Star Online.. not that I'm interested in EQ, just wanted to know to clarify a statement I made in a nother thread..
