Mechassault Downloads THURSDAY!!!!
This was just posted at Game2extreme
One of the most hotly anticipated downloadable content drops on Xbox Live will be available this Thursday, February 20. In case you forgot, this update will contain two new multiplayer maps, "Hell's Kitchen" and "Stone Cold," as well as two new speedy BattleMechs (shown below).

I thought that the first download would be only new maps, and the Mechs would be later? Or is this why it got pushed back?
I will believe it when I see it. i remeber Microsoft saying that downloadable content would be available for Unreal on the first day. This was tha main reason I got XBL, for the content. They made it sould like they would be putting out alot of stuff to download, and I have yet to see anything significant.

Rather than release it week by week, they decided to put the first 4 chunks -- 2 mechs, 2 maps -- together in one download to make up for the delay.

To the best of my knowledge, there was nothing in the PR about offline upgrades. I am sure it will happen, but not just yet. A perk for the Live players I guess.

I emailed Mike Salmon about the MA content being available on the OXM disc back in December. A few weeks later I got a reply from him stating that the downloadable content should be available on the OXM disc the following month after it's released.
That was when everyone thought we were getting the 2 new mechs on Jan 15th. Who knows what will happen with OXM and the content availability now.

The downloads are now available. There are 2 new maps Hell's Kitchen and an artic one. There are also 2 new mechs. Both are smaller ones. Either the game I was was having problems or the Hell's Kitchen map has problem. People kept disappearing and going into solid objects.
