Can you change your xbox live tag?

They make a big deal on the X-Box Live web page about how you can't change it. Maybe you can cancel the existing account and start a new account?

Two ways that I know of, but I've never needed to use them. I read them on the forums.xbox.com quite some time ago.
One way to change your name is to have everybody give you bad gametag feedback. In the feedback section there is a bad gamertag option. If you ask everyone you play to select that option. Supposedly Xbox.com will call/email you that you have to change your (offensive
) gamertag.
The other way costs $50 bucks. (Buy another kit)
By the way, what's your current gamertag?
