Name that Game?
Looking for the name of this game. I apologize for my bad memory.. It was a PC based game (i'm thinking like 1987-1989ish). You purchased a car and would load it up with weapons options like spikes and guns.I think you raced around a futuristic city. THe name that comes to me is something like DeathRace 2000, but I may have just made that up..

Sounds like AutoDuel, based on the Steve Jackson RPG "Car Wars." Pretty damn good little game.

While we're on the subject... does anybody know the name of an arcade from 1988-91-ish (around this time). It was a left-to-right side scrolling shooter (like U.N. Squadron) where you are a jet, but you can obtain a power-up that will turn you into a mech-like robot. I remember in the very first level you are flying through a dark level with blue skulls as a ceiling and floor, and the first creatures to come at your are big skulls with tails on them. I loved this game back in the day, but I can't remember the name of it

Be forewarned, I found this game a few years ago, and tried to play it, but it ran too fast. I even used moslow( I think) to slow down my system (just a plain pentium at the time) and it was still unplayable.
