Socom Headset... please help
I have a problem with my headset. I can talk to my teammates but I can not hear them. I even tried using it on the pc in a chat and it worked the same way (I can talk but cant hear). After this I come to the conclusion the headset is broken.
I need a new one and really do not want to spend $40 on the one comming out for sale in a few weeks (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/categorie...p?pf_id=232651). Considering Socom is the only game to use this device so far thats just an insane price to spend considering I the one I have should still work. Ive never abused it and its pretty much stayed plugged in since I bought the game (got it the day it was released).
Is there anyone I can contact about getting it replaced or anywhere I can go to purchase a new one.

Again thanks but like I mentioned in the first post I am trying to find one other then the new one comming out. $40 for that headset is just insane. We pay $60 for the game in which they give us a poorly designed headset and then they release this one for that price.
I know that people have gotten replacement ones, I am just trying to find out where to get one.

Well I decided today to just try calling Sony. This actually paid off. I told them my headset was no longer functioning and that I tried a friends headset on my system and it worked fine (which I did) they are sending a replacement free of charge. They asked for a receipt which I no longer had and the guy asked if I got it recently and then gave the ok.
For anyone interested its worth the call (took about 10 minutes total). Just call 1-800-345-SONY and go through the menu and select PS2 then talk to a rep. They said I should have my replacement within 7 days.
