Hmmm - they are local to the seattle area. Perhaps I'll just give 'em a call.

I received this about an hour ago:
Hello,
Thank you for your e-mail. Although this is really a grammar question perhaps better asked of an English instructor, the accepted practice is to add an "s" to a proper noun to form a plural. With this in mind, "Game Boy Advances" would be technically correct. However, I personally prefer to use "Game Boy Advance systems."
I hope this helps!
Sincerely,
Nintendo of America Inc.
John E.

The reason they prefer the use Game Boy Advance systems is because it helps keep their copyright. Someone could argue that the words Game Boy are taken to mean any portable gaming system and thus cannot be copywrited. A few decades ago, Aspirin medicine was a trademark; however, someone proved the word had fallen into common use, so now everything's aspirin. If you look in the back of writing trade mags, these companies place advertisements telling you to please respect the words Rollerblade, Gortex, Kleenex, etc. and not use them in the generic.

Because this thread needs to be revivied:
I recently saw "Walkman" pluralized as "Walkmans" and thought "that's probably correct, but it sounds totally weird. But "Walkmen" sounds like some sort of mechanized army that's planning to take over... So I dunno.
