But 1 is my favorite.

2, but possibly 0 once I finish it(had it since release day, but I have a bad habit of not finishing games.....awesome game so far though).
As an RE diehard, I feel that Survivor is a disgrace to the series, but I won't go into the 10,000 reasons why.

I said 0. I found it to be more enjoyable to play than the other RE games. I think that's partly because it's not as confusing as the other games and because it's not as scary. Plus it seems like you spend more time going forwards than going back and forth.

Well, I really dig them all. But if I had to pick, I'd say either the Remake or RE: CVX.

They're all good, though.

RE1, both PSX and on Cube. I'm playing RE0 now, so I can't really say if its better until I finish it.

CV was pretty good (had it on DC). Been a while since I played 2 & 3.

Not as a thread crap, but there should be an option for 'None' just so see what relative % of people don't like the series.

Just finished 0 about an hour ago. Great game, but left me dissatisfied with the ending...

I'm going to play through the rest of the series again, but as of the last time I played through, my order:

2
0
3
REbirth
C:V X
1

well i've only played the #1 GC remake so far, but I hope to play 0 asap and get #4 when it comes out. I might try the 2 and 3 on the GC eventually.

Haven't had a chance to play RE0, but the RE1 remake on the gamecube is my favorite, and then RE2 (which is the first one I ever played).

Resident Evil 2 is no doubt the best of the series... No doubt about that. After that, the RE remake for Gamecube is excellent as well. The worst game of the series is RE3 by far...

RE1 was so groundbreaking at the time, I cannot believe it's not getting some credit for that. The cut scene when the Hunter stalks you for the first time was the crepiest thing I'd ever seen in a video game.

RE3 was unfortunate, I agree, but for sheer terror, knowing that at any screen the Nemesis could pop out at me for a huge fight made it maybe the scariest of all.

Voted for RE2, it was the first RE game that i played way back on the PSX, really bummed me out that it was just a straight-port on the GC...I don't see me picking those up, especially since they are $40.99. That is just a plain ripoff. RE-remake was also very good, and very difficult. I played the REmake before playing RE on psx, so i guess i was kinda lucky there hehe.

1 was groundbreaking, but in my mind 2 is still way on top. Not only does it have four different scenarios to play in, as well as the Hunk and Tofu missions, but the second scenarios also have Mr. X stalking you. I still remember playing through the game one night when a friend was over. I light these candles, go to grab the golden cog, and Mr. X busts through the wall. Holy crap, I thought I was going to have a heart attack at 17.
I actually think 3 is a pretty good game. Zombies galore, plus Nemesis chasing you everywhere, showing up at the worst moments. I liked how you were given choices on what to do in each situation, and I liked it more when you made the WRONG choice, and ended up having to fight Nemesis anyway....
I had no plans to get the GC ports at all. They were originally announced to be $19.99 budget titles, then about two months before release, they shoot the price up to $29.99, then a month before it's up to $39.99. I got them anyway though in the GameStop trade-in deal, but I won't go into that again, just say it cost me $28 to get both of them new. They are a definite improvement, but I really hope Capcom decides to remake at least 2 once they finish RE 4.

I've played all the RE games and my favorite would have to be Resident Evil remake for Gamecube.

I've played all of them.

Code Veronica is easily the best - and most satisfying.
