Animal Crossing...worth $30?
I just picked up Animal Crossing used at Blockbuster for $29.99. I was looking for a good price, and it was the lowest i've seen it. Is it worth it? are there any places that have it for a lower price?

Animal Crossing...worth $30?
Does the memory card that it comes with contain anything important on it? or is it empty?

I'm one of the few that seem to think AC is about worthless. I've spent hours watching my friends play it, and spent a little time myself with it, but I just found it to be boring and repetitive. I also don't see a point in playing it once the loan is fully paid off. The only highlight of the game to me was the inclusion of NES games. BTW, my friends who bought the game when it first came out and had their lives revolve around it for a few months have gotten rid of their copies in the last few weeks, saying it's the same pointless crap once you pay off the loan.
However, that is a good price, considering I haven't seen it lower than $40.

Yes, months is quite long for a game, especially if it is played continually. PSO was definitely worth it on DC.
It didn't come with a memory card, but that's OK seeing as how i have both the mem 59 and 251.
Been playing it for a few hours now, and i still haven't found the mayor. Maybe i need to talk to him during the day?

I still play it for about an hour a day and enjoy it a lot. I have a friend that plays as well and we still visit each other's towns and trade stuff. Yeah it is a little repetitive but I am all about completing sets, catching all of the fish/bugs, etc... An hour a day is cool for that. The new seasons are coming (Spring and summer) and new stuff should become available to you. Also, Nintendo Power gives codes for items that aren't in the Strategy Guide. I got the star that Mario jumps on to become Super Mario and when you hit it it plays the music and flashes. But I digress...definitely worth $30. :-)

The game is worth $50 IMO
i've never played a game every single day consistently for so long. It won't appeal to everyone as it is pretty different from your standard game out there, but we really got into it

I originally got it at Blockbuster for 35 bucks used. No memory card, but it did come with an instruction booklet. I soon returned it.
For 50 bucks (45 at Best buy with coupon) you can get a brand new one (which you can also sell back to a used game store... usually, Blockbuster used games are hard to sell back). It comes with a memory card 59, which is worth 15 bucks. You'll need a full memory card for the game anyway. Plus, the memory card comes with a "special gift," two nintendo games mailed to your Animal Crossing house. Granted, you can get these games in other ways, but it's a nice gift.
Anyway, it's a niche game that is a blast for some people, and imminently boring to others. Play it for a little while, and after a day or so you'll know if it's for you. It will always stand as the game that addicted my (non video-game playing) wife.
