GBA SP advice?

OK Heres my situation.
The new GBA SP is coming out
and I find it not practical to spend $99
dollars for this, because if you add the $70 I
payed for the first one, that comes out to
169 for a GBA. WHile I love my GBA, I hardly
find it worth that much. I'd rather put that
towards a GC or PS2 or XBOX.

I currently have one of the blueish transparrent GBA
with 6 games. they are: Mario Kart, Baseball Advance,
WWF road to wreslemania, namco museum, atari anniversary,
starwars episode 2:attack of the clones.
How much do you think I coul get for these if I were to
sell them. I am not saying I am going to do that, just want
to know so I can keep my options open. Everything is in
excellent condition with all the boxes and instructions.

Advice?
Should I sell MY GBA and games and get a major console?
Should I sell my GBA only and get a new GBA SP?
Should I just keep what I got and get afterburner?
(If so where do I gt afterburner?)

thanks!

I had been having the same feeling lately, until I picked up Metroid Fusion. It really depends on your playing habits, amount of time for a console vs a handheld, etc. I have a GC and GBA.

If the new GB was going to be identical in shape with a backlight, I would probably have just put my GBA up for sale now, while I could still get a decent amount for it, then picked up one of the new models. However, I'm not confident, that I'll like the new shape.

I'd either keep your current GBA, and pick up a next gen console when the right deal comes along, or sell the GBA and pick up a console. I can't see pumping the money into the GB SP or into the afterburner (I'm using a light shield)

Don't forget about the adapter coming out in May to play GBA games on the GC. So you could, sell the GBA you have and keep the games you like most, pick up a GC and in May pick up the adapter and play the GBA games you kept on the GC and TV.

I can see my plain GBA fine using the Pelican Light Shield (the newer model with the LED light). So I plan on keeping it for gaming on the road, and pick up the GC adapter to play on the TV when at home.

I'm with sniper308, if you have the time and the money get a Gamecube and the GBA player adapter, you won't regret it.

I would sell my GBA, but I like it when I travel. Would I sell my GBA and get the SP version... maybe... but my son plays the GBA alot (as does the wife).

But if you sell it as a bundle, I thick you could get $100 for it if you included 2-3 games, covering the cost of the SP version.

Should I sell my GBA only and get a new GBA SP?

If you want to, I would. (I got my GBA for $45 shipped from that Overstock deal last year, so coughing up $100 for the new version is no problem in my eyes.)

Should I just keep what I got and get afterburner?

I'm with the crowd that says no... due to the warranty being voided.

You can do decent on ebay with your games having the box & instructions. Most of the time they go for more than for a game without them. I think it helped me when I sold some stuff a few weeks ago....but I think another reason I did better than expected was because I sold just before Christmas. So YMMV...

Mario Kart
