Remember a few months ago, I posted about someone crashing into in my Ps2 causing my Ico disc to have a circular scratch so that when I entered a certain part of the game, it paused in a cut scene where I end up automatically unable to continue. I was wondering if it would work on my Ps2 if I copied Ico (since it is only CD-ROM not DVD) and loaded my Ps2 version to the spot before it pauses, switch it with the cd-r version and then continue on. Has anyone done this before? I am not trying to bootleg but I just want to finally finish this game I got over half a year ago. Thank you.

Have you tried using a Disc Doctor to remove the scratch?

This game sells for about $10 used at EB. It might be easier to just buy another copy.
