Could this be an incredible Photoshop fake?

Well, I printed 5 of these and am going to Target at lunch and give it a try.

BTW, The guy that 'found' this coupon is the SAME guy who started the rumor. I will be contacting Geoff to have him banned.

EDIT: Reported to Mods.

The wording is strange, too.

"$15 Each Any Video Games for Xbox"

I mean it was too good to be true when it was just printed word. Now it's a poorly worded, crappy photoshopped coupon too?

bahahahahahaahahahahaahahahahaha

Maybe it was worded "$15 OFF any video game for Xbox" before someone changed it.

The url on the coupon is www.getintothegame.com. From their site:

http://www.getintothegame.com/promos.asp

Nothing listed there though.

Also, every picture on that site is a GIF, but this is a JPG.

OK, no go. I went to Target (Burbank, CA) at lunch and first, after arguing with the sales lady that the coupon was not for just the 4 pictured games, because it says '$15 each - any video game for XBox', then she said she would have to get her manager's approval because of the big markdown.

So after another 5 minutes of waiting she came back and said they could not accept this Internet coupon, because all of their valid coupons would have official printing on the back. Well that made sense to me, since I was skeptical of this anyways.

But I told her, if I found out that other Targets were accepting these coupons (from feedback here at DVDTalk), that I was going to come back with the feedback printed and demand, no insist, no even better, hold my breath until I got my XBox game for $15.

She said okay. Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Just to take this a step further, I investigated the UPC using www.upcdatabase.com

Here's what it came up for the 1st UPC code:

Manufacturer (unknown) (085239)
Coupon Info Family Group: Unknown
Value: $5.00

Apparently this UPC has been used for like 5 different items from different companies. If you input it for yourself on the site, click on the number link next to unknown. I find it really hard to believe Target wouldn't create their own UPC for this.

Why can't Target just scan the coupon UPC to see if it's even valid. If it's a fake, then the register won't even acknowledge it. The coupon would have to be in Target's computer system before it gets accepted. Plus, this will tell you if it's actually a "$15 off" or "$15 each coupon".
