The game is a survival horror type but the trust/fear factor really adds a ton to the game. If you haven't already you'd be better off to read up on it.

I prefer this to RE because I found myself having way more ammo in The Thing which meant running away less. It's nice to stay and fight instead of always having to run away or dodge. Lack of ammo turned me off to the RE series after part 3 as did the same problem in Dino Crisis.

I'm waiting on a price drop before I pick it up. I rented it and had fun and I look forward to finishing it.
