As much as I'd like it to happen an announcement of an updated gameboy doesn't make sense this week with christmas happening next week. They announce a new gameboy everyone who's bought one for christmas will be back at best buy (or where ever) the next day returning what they bought. It makes zero sense.

No announcement yet, but it's hours earlier in Japan. I don't even think it's 9 a.m. there yet. If they make an announcement, we won't here about it until tomorrow.
The fact that nobody would comment on it to CBS is weird. Usually if something is not true, heck, usually if it's true, they'll deny it.

The deal could still happen, regardless of no annoucement today (tuesday).
It's all fueled by a bunch of rumors, and no major game site that I've seen has said anything about it other than to report the CBS Market watch info posted above.
So it's possible that the rumors about the deal could be right, but the annoucement date was premature.
It was weeks after the MS buying Rare rumors began circulating before an annoucement was made.
It's possible that Nintendo and Capcom are still hammering out the details.
But again, I'd be happier if it turned out to just be a rumor and capcom remains 3rd party.

Actually that was a joke (harkening back to the old Jolt loves Aghama days)
Did he really leave? I thought he was busy or on vacation or something? Any reason why? Can someone point me to a thread? He was one of my favorite posters here.

He left. Mainly over the "martial law" issue he complained about in that thread in feedback. He thought the mods were cracking down to harshly on console bashes and other things that were really just meant as jokes, and didn't want to be a part of that atmosphere.
I told him I hated to see him go over something so silly, as he was one of the more level headed posters here, and he said he'd think it over but would probably at least take a break for a while. That's been a month or two ago.

How the hell do these time zones work. It's 5:30 pm tuesday in Hawaii (my brother lives there and I'm talking to him on messenger, and 12:30 pm wednesday in Japan. That doesn't make sense to me. Hawaii is 5 hours behind EST and Japan is 14 hours ahead.

The international date line is in between Hawaii and Japan. Basically as soon as you cross that line going west, advance your calendar one day. Cross it going east and sbutract a day.

If you all ran linux and a little program called worldtimeview this would be much easier for all of you...
The international timeline is right after Midway in the pacific. It is indeed Wed. in japan. For those that are completely shut off from the world, Japan is known as "The Land of the Rising Sun" because it is the first (large I guess) country to start each day. Thus the sun rises there first every day.
