Grand Theft Auto - Vice City for GC?

Does anyone know if Grand Theft Auto - Vice City will be released for the GC?

I played it on my brothers PS2 and am thinking about getting one just to play that game.

I've got a GC and was wondering if the game was a PS2 exclusive.

Thanks!

PS2 exclusive on consoles. It should be released eventually for the PC though.

GC is a kiddy system, no way GTA will get released on it.

Kidding(pun intended) aside, the GTA series is exclusive to PS2 until 2004.

Yes, GTA is exclusive to PS2 until atleast 2004.. but if the next incarnations of it sell as much as the past 2 have, I'm sure Sony will stretch that deal out for the PS3..

To be honest Rockstar is making so much money on the PS2 right now why rock the boat and pay higher licensing fees just to port the game over. People are probably using these games to tip the balance and get a PS2 so Rockstar is not losing much in sales. Plus they make more on each one sold by being exclusive.

and more PS2's sold means more reasons to stay exclusive.

Oh did Sony waive Rockstar's licensing fees in exchange for exclusivity? That makes sense.

waived or dropped quite a bit lower. I have heard both. I would bet it is only lower since otherwise you open up a can of worms with others trying to get no licensing fees. so maybe it is a token small fee that still means a ton more money for Rockstar based on sales of these games.

That's interesting. I wonder who is doing better on the deal: Sony or Rockstar. They've got to both be pretty damn happy with sales.

No way in hell the licensing fee is waived. That's how Sony makes their money. They lowered the fee to gain exclusivity. That, you can bank on.

I'd expect it to come out the day after the PS2 version of Metroid Prime is released.
