Okay gentlemen we have our squads... I picked ackdog's team last because I didn't know which conference he'd have to go into.

Regarding scheduling: I propose that we all play each other twice at your own convenience, once at home and once on the road.

Neiname proposed a nice playoff schedule. He's also volunteered to be the statistician of the league, so if you want to send the results and stats to him, we can set up a leaderboard.

The one time I got someone to play me online, he left after he scored 3 tds in the first quarter becaues "You're no challenge for me."

I figure for starters we could have an 8 team league with a simple schedule where for the regular season everyone plays each team twice (home and away) and then a playoff. We can report scores and standings in a single thread.

Any suggestions on how to pick teams? Should we just do a draft order?

I've sent friend requests to all you guys thru live. I played my first quick game (and amazingly won somehow) to see if I even liked the sega football. It's no Madden03, but it doesn't suck. Looking forward to playing some friendly games with members of this community.

NFL2K3 is 19.99 at Circuit City this week, or about 18.90 if you buy it at Best Buy first then pricematch it, which is what I did yesterday.

It looks like we have enough interest for an 8 team league. We can expand to 10 or 12 if others chime in.

For now, I'd like suggesstions on how the heck do we do teams? Do we just generate a random draft sequence and pick teams? Or should we randomly assign teams?

It'd be great if Live supported online leagues but AFAIK it doesn't.
