Circuit City has that too - if you add MSN rewards and some other discount you can pick up an Xbox bundle for like 125 bucks or something. I saw it on FW.

So it's a $30 gift card to Best Buy, right? Just clarifying.

Also, would anyone explain in further detail the Circuit City deal? What's MSN rewards? All the site says is that if you buy and accessory and an XBox you get $30 gift card.

Yeah, I saw that but just as I was about to buy it I noticed that they charge for tax So you are really getting a $10 gift certificate more or less

Yeah but where can you get it for either free shipping and no sales tax (somewhere online) or buying it at a store for cheaper? BTW: BB doesn't charge for state tax, your state does.

Okay - someone over at the FW forum posted about using the MSN Wallet - you save 20% on certain stores - well maybe you don't so much save it as you get it back or something. I don't know - there's an MSN Wallet thread in Hot Deals.

Circuit City is a store that uses MSN Wallet. So you can save an additional 20% over whatever. CC is also doing the same 30 dollar gift card for Xbox. They have free shipping. Get a DVD Remote and use the expired coupon for more savings cuz MS extended it through the 30th of this month (hurry). I don't remember what the other money saving thing was, but you can go check it out. Don't ask me what FW means - if a moderator wants to come in and tell you, he will. I don't know if you can mention that site here or not. And don't email me asking what it is either. And don't send me a postcard about it. And don't send me pictures of your hot sister... well you can send me pictures of your hot sister if she is really hot, but don't expect me to tell you even then what FW means. I might if I think your sister is really hot and if she's single and I have a chance...

Ok, here is the MSN Wallet thing.

Sign up to use your .net passport go to wallet.msn.com and add your address and credit card number. Go to circuitcity.com and buy the xbox bundle, an accessory that is $19.99 or above, then check out using msn wallet instead of secure checkout.

Here is what you get
$199.99 Xbox bundle
$30 rebate for buying the bundle and accessory
20% in MSN cash sometime in February.

Deal is pretty good. I just did this and purchased the warranty for $30 and Xbox live kit so I paid $299.46 with tax. The deal will be very sweet when I get the MSN Cash and also the Circuit City card.

I'm glad to hear that! I need to get a splitter as well. It's getting old switching the fiber cable between the PS2 and XBOX.

Let me know when you're ready to go.

My XBOX Live gamertag is: i c e m a n

Does the warranty count as an accessory? It seems to me it does ("recommended accessories").

Xbox live does. Here is what I get back from MSN for using the MSN Wallet.

Qualifying transactions
Date Merchant Purchase amount
11/29/2002 Circuit City 299.46
Total transactions 299.46
Reward 59.89

that along with my $30 from CC and it looks like I got almost $90 back.

Nice! So do you think I should pick up another accessory just to be safe or do you think the warranty will count? Maybe I should call.

I signed up and got the MSN Wallet, however, when I went to checkout, it didn't say anything about a discount. I'm assuming it shouldn't?

Will the 20% off be a check? Or some sort of gift card? And whatever it is, it'll be sent to me sometime in February?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm interest, but confused.

Li: OK go to wallet.msn.com, login, click on the holiday rewards link, then view your transaction history and you should see the money you will get there. I just got mine, picked it up instore. I picked up an extra S-controller (holy crap it's good!) but I might take that back to another store for credit.

$200 + $30 warranty + $30 controller - $30 taking controller back somewhere - 30 gift cert - $55 msn money - 40 dollars for selling packin game = $105 Xbox with 2 year warranty

(it's actually $75 if you risk it and don't get the warranty )

(not sure how someone who doesn't own an XBox could pass this deal up?)

I see. So you can use "MSN Dollars" at the participating sites. Considering I was going to buy an XBox anyway, this deal is pretty good.

Do you know if you get the "MSN Dollars" immediately, or do you have to wait some set amount of time after your purchase?
