Just picked one up at the Pleasanton, CA BBV. They had nothing out, had them pull it up on the computer and they had 3 in stock but they were in the back. I was shocked to see it come in a regular DVD case, I expected a cheap cardboard sleeve for $5. I finally got to use one of my $5 BB gift cards that I've been lugging around in my briefcase for 2 years. Great deal for $0.40...

I know my local BBV has quite a few. I'll pick one up for you tomorrow when I go to get some for gifts for friends. Okay... I'll e-mail you tomorrow if I get one.
EDIT: Looks like Trigger beat me to the punch... I'll still get an extra one anyways.

Okay - I got an extra one. All they had was 2 and I had to go to two stores... So - email me at [email protected] and we'll sort out the details.

There's a BBV down by my school. I'll check it out tomorrow. Post back later.
Just a note: I checked eBay and did a search on this... there are currently 41 of these for bid... and going for anywhere from $7-$15. I think as these disappear and its gets closer to Christmas, someone might make some money.

I don't know if this has been said, but these 9 holes will be on the Offical Xbox Magazine demo disc next month. If you subscribe or pick it up, hold off on spending your money on it now, wait and get it on the demo disc.

The first two Blockbusters I went to were sold out, but I scored at the third.
When I asked about the game, the guy at the third store checked inventory, said he had two. I said I'll take both. However, what he brought out was the full retail "Outlaw Golf" game. I'd written down the title, so I pointed out he should search on that. He didn't find anything. I was ready to accept defeat when, luckily for me, the manager was listening in while this was happening, and she told me to wait a little bit while she checked the stockroom.
Lo and behold, she comes out with NINE copies! I told her I only wanted five for gifts. After she saw what it was, she wanted a couple for gifts also!! And the guy at the counter took one. There was a guy paying for rentals who asked to take a look at it, and said "Darn it, don't have an XBox!".

So any comments on the game itself? What do you think of the course design? You guys think it's as hard as I do?

The game has gotten a little choppy on me at times, but overall I think the graphics are great. The announcer is hilarious in this - in the original I just found him annoying. The courses are hard, but I managed to come in under par. Barely. If you don't get your swing just right, you're screwed.

Went to two Blockbusters here in Hawaii. The neither had it in stock, but the second offered to order it for me. The price this helpful soul quoted:
"$34.99"
Me: "Are you sure that's the price for the Christmas version? Not the original?"
BBDumbass: "It's a good deal for a new game."
Me: *sound of door closing behind me.

Note: Not all the clubs are great. I used the clubs that give the best distance, and was having crappy shots for all nine holes.
It's a great $5 game!

I am having fun with this one. I got a 480 yard drive on the long par 4, and then chipped in for eagle.
My question is this, is the original similar in play? I really like some of the holes, they are more interesting than "real" golf holes. The original has 3 courses, right? Are they fun like these?
