Go Get Nightfire now!!!!

OMG this game is freakin' awsome
I've only played 1 level in single player and it's great
but I spent the next 6 hrs playing multiplayer with a couple of
friends against bots,
that's 6 hrs non stop almost
very addictive gameplay!!!
awsome graphics
superb music and sound fx

get the XBOX ver if you can
it's the best one

I've got too many games waiting to be played right now, or I'd check this out.

If he played 6 hours straight of multiplayer, I'd say he thinks it's pretty damn good.

I dunno. If he woulda said 7 hours I'd be more convinced. I mean, you can't even break a sweat in 6 hours.

The PC demo was ported by Gearbox. The console versions were created by Eurocom. The difference between the 2 versions are like night and day.

I got it for the XBOX earlier in teh week and it is awesome. I was surprised at how much I like the driving levels. Also in multiplayer, I like playing as Odd Job and being able to use his hat as a weapon. YEAH BABY!!!

Is this based on any real info or is the Cube version just the one you own. I have the X-box version but have not opened it and would exchange for a cube version it if there is any difference

Seems like a review I read said the Gamecube version was the best, but I only skimmed it and can't remember which site it was on.

Upon inital inspection, the PC version blows:
Bland, washed out textures and graphics. Horrible AI...the enemies dont even flinch when you shoot them, in fact, they show no signs of being injured until the just drop dead. Hardly anything in the environment is interactive (ie nothing breaks when shot). And Im already stuck like 5 minutes into the first level looking for some stupid switch that doesnt appear to exist. I will try some more later, maybe some multiplayer.

As mentioned above, the PC version was handed off to another company to quickly half as a port, so it was expected that it would suck.

Just like the GC and X-box versions of Need For Speed 2.

I saw that IGN gave the Cube version a slightly higher score but I did not read it closely enough to see why this was. I will have to check around before opening my xbox copy

Ill have to rent the PS2 version someday....I'd get the GC version, but the controller is terrible for sports games, I'm afraid to try a FPS.

The Cube's controller is definitely good, even excellent, for FPS.

I've got to agree about the Cube controller being good for FPS. The different shapes of each button makes it easy to remember "this button jumps, this one crouches etc". Plus the functions you do the most seem to be mapped to the best positioned buttons(A reloads opens doors, R shoots etc). The only slight problem is that the c stick is a bit small but once you adjust to it it's fine. Although I did get a wicked case of numb thumb from playing NF today on the cube but I blame that on playing for too long and not on the controller

Have to agree. I liked playing Timesplitters 2, the last Bond game, and the FPA Metroid Prime with the Cube controller. I'm broke or I would pick up the new Bond. Hopefully, I can at least rent it next weekend it sounds pretty good.
