That would be a great one to release again. I wouldn't mind a GBA release of Super Metroid.

I'd liket to see the first Metal Gear game revamped for PS2. I don't mean Metal Gear Solid, I'm talking about the NES game from way back in 1986.

Something I've been wanting to see re-made for years: Racing Destruction Set

Apparently, I'm not the only one who feels this way.

From: Mayberry, NC. Really, it is
Sid Meier's classic, PIRATES

Can you imagine Pirates in a GTA3-type environment ? Governors under the various royal families sending you out on missions, a different Governor's daughter to woo in every port, ships to plunder/scuttle/steal & add to your fleet, land to be taken/bought/granted by royal decree, towns to be attacked and sacked or turned over to a different crown, lost family members to search for, 3D swordfights on burning ships, cannon battles, alliances, betrayal, intrigue, spying, etc.

Hey, I can dream, can't I ?

X-Com. I'd love it if they'd upgrade the graphics and fixed mind attacks so that it's LOS. I loved the game, but it became a joke once you got your mind attacks to work reliably. You could do any mission with just two guys and a tank.

Are you serious? I mean I love this game too, but it's available for Dreamcast and Game Boy Advance. Those are both current-generation platforms. If you simply must play it on one of the "Big Three", you can always buy the PS1 version and play it on the PS2 -- it's not like the graphics have a lot of room for improvement.

I keep almost buying this for my gameboy color. If it was Tecmo Super Bowl, I promise you I'd buy it.

However, I wonder how it would be ported over to the newer consoles. I wouldn't want it to be another Madden clone. The fun of Tecmo was that it was just realistic enough, without being difficult to understand or play. To this day, I can take someone who's never played the game, give them two minutes of instruction, let them select San Fransisco while I select the Colts or the Patriots, and actually have a competitive game. You simply can't do that with Madden, the learning curve is extremely steep, and if you don't understand how to run and spot offensive and defensive schemes, you're lost.

Even the SNES version of Tecmo Super Bowl III didn't capture the spirit of the earlier games, even though it was graphically better and had more options.

There's just no football game like the original TSB.

Rocket Jockey ... yes, that game you see in the bargain bins for under $5. That game is a BLAST in multi-player, and needs to have a decent rendering engine behind it for once.

2nd choice would be NiGHTS.

You took the words right out of my mouth, er, keyboard!

I also would hope that they would start doing conversions of the arcade versions of these classic games like Golden Axe, Shinobi, etc. instead of the inferior Genesis/SNES versions.

That was a great game. I hope the guy re-doing it finds the time to get it going because that new version is looking very nice.

Wasteland is my all-time favorite old skool RPG. It was even a source of inspiration for the Fallout series.

Also, Wasteland was re-released in an EA Anthology pack several years ago; so at least it's still possible to relive the classic. I played the original on an Apple IIe.
