Which controller should i get for Xbox?

I got the bundle with the S-type controller and its great. I want to get a second one but im aprehensive about getting the 'official' large one-- is it really suck?

They have the madcats one thats bigger than the S type and its 5 bux cheaper. Is that a good one?

I've only tried the original and the S-type. I hated the original, it's too big to be comfortable and the buttons are in akward positions - my hands actually cramped while trying to play a few games.

I think the original is the best controller in my opinion

I think you should try both and decide for yourself. I find that the original is more comfortable for driving games, and the s-controllers button layout is more suitable for games like WWF Raw.

If people's hands cramped up using an XBOX controller, I'd hate to see them try to handle a steering wheel on a car.

Well, considering I don't have to reach my forefinger up to the top of the steering wheel to do a flip trick there's not too much trouble in that department...

I suggest finding a demo station either at Wal-Mart, GameStop, or some other such store with the original controller. Spend some time playing with the larger original and see if you like it better.

Or, since you already like the S-type, why risk the change? If it ain't broke...

If you have bigger than normal hands, I think the original is great. You should try and find it, I thought most kiosks used it in fact?

I'm with pixy on this one...I really like both of them, I use the original most of the time, but for Tony Hawk and other button-combo-based games I can only use the type-S

go for the s type. that huge, clear plastic xbox logo will mess you up one day when your zoned on your gaming. I've had the glare of my roof lighting blind me from it's reflection.

I love the size of the original controller. However, everything ON the controller has been improved with the S. The "S" improved the L/R trigger tension, X/Y/B/A/blk/wht button shape, button depth, button layout, start and back button placement, analog stick bumps for better grip, greatly improved (NINTENDO-STYLE) Direction-Pad. If only they made a BIGGER "S" controller. I am very happy with the S. Best controller ever.

has anyone had problems with the S controller and DOA? whenever we have an S plugged in, we can't get passed the character selection screen. I've tried it on 2 different xbox's with and without the booster pack.

I don't hate the original big controller as much as everybody else, but I greatly prefer the "S."

I have big hands, but I still hated the button layout on the original controller. The size didn't bother me, but the layout prevented me from easily reaching about half the buttons.

Thats my problem as well. The buttons are also at an angle that I could never get comfortable with. I would reach for the Y button to do a grind in TH2X and hit the white button instead. I like the more traditional button layout on the S controller.

If you have big hands, the original is better.
If you have small hands, S-controller is better.

I bought a Madcatz as my 2nd controller. Maybe they have more than one model but mine is actually smaller than the S-controller. I have small hands and I actually prefer it for some games. It also has ruberrized sides with edges so it doesn't slip as much.
