Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth
Gamespot has the release date as 11/11, but I can't find anyone who has it yet.
Has anyone played it? I was disappointed with Just Bring It, but the new features of Shut Your Mouth look interesting.

I am interested as well. But i extremely miss the controls from the late great "No Mercy" Video game from the N64. That style of controls were the best.

Holy cow, that's awesome news. Is this reported anywhere or just a rumor for now? Whatever it is, I'll take it, anything to bring back the old THQ engine. Anyways, I can't turn down a new wrestling game if I tried so I'm going to grab Smackdown later today and give some impressions.

Plus you have 4 Player Story Mode.
You can use your OWN entrance themes for CAW (and now that the Anthology 3xCD is out.. woo boy!)
And.. POSSIBLE Live support.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. Kinda makes me want to forget about buying Smackdown but I got some games to trade in and it'll hold me over until Raw 2 comes out. I was one of the few that actually liked Raw when it came out, and I played it for a good while, but it just didn't have any replay value unless other people were around who knew how to play. Thanks for the info though, very much appreciated.

As soon as I read that Aki was providing the grappling engine, I was sold.

Are they actually going to get the old grappling engine from the old N64 games? Is there some verification of this? I am asking because you just made me a very very happy gamer if this is true. You dont know how bad i felt to play the first smackdown and raw. They seemed like a big mess. You throw one person and five people fall to the floor????? not real at all. Long live No mercy

The grappling system.. I'm not sure of that.
But they do acknowledge what people consider the best and are working with that. So who knows at this point..? Read the articles for more.

I'm tempted to buy this game. I'd be pretty let down if it was a clone of JBI or WrestleMania X8 for GC. From what I've read it is a whole lot better. I'm definately going to rent this one before I buy it. I'm looking forward to Legends of Wrestling 2 more than anything. This game looks awesome. I just hope the rumors that the gameplay has been drasticly improved are true. The last LOW was too slow moving. I'm hoping LOW 2 has the type of speed that No Mercy has.

i hated JBI, but I bought SHut your mouth anyways, and I think it is way better than any of the other Smackdown games, the graphics are jaw dropping, the gameplay is fast and well balanced, I have only played two matches so far because I have been playing BMX XXX, but it looks like a great hit.

I plaeyed Smackdown last night and i must say....... i am impressed. Good gameplay, great graphics, cool wrestlers, nice season , and etc. i do have a question though
Why is it that the Hardy Boyz music are never in the games?
From a scale of 1-10- 10 being the best....... i give it a 8.0 good game to hold you over until RAW2 comes out

Raven, I thoguht the Hardy's music was in Raw for XBOX.. I could be wrong though.
How does the gameplay stand up from the last Smackdown? That game was so awful. IMO of course.
Anything new and interesting about the CAW?

The graphics and menus are the best I've seen in any wrestling game. You actually feel like you're part of a wwe tv broadcast!

Celery, i couldnt agree more. The tv style of the game is superb. Nothing better then it. The grappling style (in my opinion) is still not good as no mercy or any of the n64 games. I am sorry but i loved the grappling system of the old n64 games.
Graphics- It looked very very good. Its an improvement of the JBI but not a big one. Not just that but the wrestlers seem so real.
One thing- Stone Cold walks funny in the game. He walks like a girl. Kind of like Jennifer Lopez.
So like i said before, from all of the talk about RAW 2, this is actually a good game to hold you over for the RAW 2 game. So i recommend it.
