Metroid Prime Platinum Gamcube Bundle at Toys R Us

It's $224.99 and includes a Platinum GC, 2 platinum controllers, and the game.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...games&n=507846

from www.planetgamecube.com:

"If you've been on the fence because you're waiting for the Platinum GameCube and Metroid Prime ... you just ran out of excuses.

While we're not sure if this is an official Nintendo bundle or not, Amazon.com (In conjunction with Toys 'R' Us) is currently selling a Platinum GameCube with TWO Platinum controllers, along with Metroid Prime for $224.99.

This price does NOT reflect any sort of discount on any of the items, so it's likely that this is a Toys 'R' Us bundle and not an official Nintendo package (like the Mario Sunshine bundle). Still, it's a golden opportunity for people who've been holding out for the best looking machine and the leading candidate for Game of the Year to pick up everything they need all at once.

Of course, if the Wave Bird isn't your thing, and you're jonsing for a Platinum Controller, Amazon has them for $24.99 as well.

Please note that these items are NOT in stock yet, and have a shipping time of 3-5 weeks. This is to be expected, since Metroid Prime doesn't ship for another three weeks. We also don't know if this will be an in-store bundle for Toys 'R' Us, or if it's online only. We're looking into it. "

Cool deal, but I'm really attached to my BLACK GameCube.

BLUE is for kids!*

* DISCLAIMER : Sarcastic joke meant to poke fun of people who console bash the GameCube and to showcase my distain for the color BLUE.

Note: This is not Nintendo's offical Bundle. This is likley just these retailers trying to capitalize on the hype. As it stands, as pointed out in the PG article, it offers no savings at all. Unlikley this is Nintendo's offical bundle. I would wait until more news comes out, i think Nintendo will offer some kind of savings.

Hmm, well there is no savings on that. Only a convenience of having it all in one package. They could've at least put in a memory card.

There are no blue Gamecubes.

The on in this bundle is Platinum (silver) and the other one is Indigo (purple).

It looks like a savings of $25 to me. Here is the seperate cost:

Platnium Gamecube: $150
2 controllers: $50
Metroid Prime: $50

Totals out to $250. Basically, if you buy this bundle, you get a free controller.

I really don't care for the Platinum. They should offer it in the other colors too.

The Gamecube comes with a controller, so you'd only be getting one extra. That would make your total $225

I know indigo is supposed to be blue, but Nintendo's Indigo is purple, and isn't even remotely close to being blue.

To my expert eye, it is definitely within the indigo range of 420 to 450 nanometers, to be more precise though, its actually closer to 450 nm than 420 nm though, which is around 6.6 x 10^14 Hz using c=f*wavelength, thats why it appears purple, which is a pretty awesome color, my GBA is the same But enough off topic for now, the platinum color looks sweet!

That's what I'm saying. It's actually my favorite color out of all of them. Same goes for the GBA. I could've went all out on the spice orange.
