At a recent Wal-Mart meeting.....

"OK, we need to do something easy that will make us look like we care. Anyone?"

"How about if we pull violent video games? Let's see, we could pull this 'Sniper' game."

"Good idea. Wait. How's it selling?"

"It's not."

"Even better. Yank it and issue a press release. Something about 'Wal-Mart is Thinking of the Children', ugh, I'm making myself nauseous."

"Ooooh, this really violent game is about to come out too. Why don't we refuse to sell Grand Theft Auto: Vice City as well?"

SMACK! THUD!

"Unnhhhhhhh..... OK, maybe not. What if we pulled firearms and ammunition?"

WHACK! SMACK! KERPLOOEY!

We know with 100% certainty that a gun and a criminal took part in the crime. You could yank guns or yank criminals. The difference being, if you start taking away guns from all citizens, you're infringing on the rights of quite a few innocent, law abiding citizens. And criminals like this guy are still going to find a way to kill; as far as I recall, neither 9/11 or the World Trade Center Bombing or the Oklahoma City bombing had anything to do with guns.

On the other hand, you start yanking criminals, what rights are you hurting?

I've had guns for all my life. I've never had a problem, and I've certainly never used them in a crime. Ditto for my dad. Ditto for his dad.
