Yikes, those xbox bundles are moving quickly
I went to bestbuy today to pick up some cable hookups for my home theater and i saw they just put out like 30 of the new bundles so i picked one up. Why wait? :-) I walked around for a little looking around. Went back to the section to pick up a s-video cable and there were only 2 left and put some more out. They had sales people swarming trying to get everyone to buy the service plan. Then they even had a few mangers up front at the registers trying to get people to get the plan also.

From: Work. Or commuting. Certainly not at home.
And I went to Target today ... and they still had a full shelf full ... and apparently they had only sold a couple of them. So, like everything, it varies.

Well around here places like Target and K-mart are not big places people buy games. Bestbuy and circuit city's game sections are always jammed with people, not to mention its a electronic store. there were a bunch of people passing buy seeing everyone get one, and when they saw the bundle deal they picked them up also. The same thing happened here with Gamecube and Ps2. Guess Long Island/NYC is a big gaming area :-)

Both the x-box and GC bundles should be big sellers this X-mas. Both are great deals.
The target here (Laurel, Md.) didn't have either in yesterday when I picked up Devil May Cry.
I haven't checked at EB or Gamestop lately.

None of the big stores (Best Buy, Target) around here are even selling the new bundle yet, as far as I can tell. They may be waiting until their current stock is depleted, and unlike some of the smaller retailers they don't have any promotions for the old system to help sell them.

I was at Target last night, didn't see ANY Xboxes of any type... mind you they only had 3 PS2's and 4 GCN's...
But yes, it's one hell of a great deal, hence me joining the Xbox crew. Surprisingly, my wife isn't against me getting one! I thought for sure she'd be like, "you don;t need another game system..."

The guys at my Best Buy always seem to be trying to talk people out of buying both the Xbox and GameCube and into buying a PS2 (heard that speach at least 10 times while shopping). Hopefully the bundles will do well there anyway.

WidcatLH, thats probably because no one ever heard of Target in Syracuse. Just kidding. I am a transplanted Syracusian in the south. I continually have to say that Syracuse is upstate not near NYC. I never heard of Target until I moved to NC. Now I can't get away from them. They have a boatload of XBOX's there but at the same time Best Buy is selling a ton. I think It has to do with each store's focus. BestBuy has signs up and more people promoting it. Most people are not aware of the bundle deal and I am sure the BB employees are talking to parents and saying things like " I am not sure how long it will last" or "this is the best deal before Christmas". Which are definately true and will sell more units if people feel that there is a window of opportunity to get this deal.
