Battlefield 1942 for $19.90 at Compuexpert

Compuexpert.com has it for $19.90 plus shipping

For another bonus you can also pick up "Morty" for $.99

The 1942 will be in a jewl case with no manual.

Anyone know if this will work fine online? I assume it would be just like buying a new game in the stor, just minus the box and packaging.

I'm getting the same thing, hopefully they'll still offer the deal when the site comes back up.

Yeah, I got that too. I got their phone number and called them to order it. I spoke to a very nice person who said my order would ship today and be here on Monday.

I got 1942, Mortyr, and 2 day fed ex shipping = $26.88 Not bad!

He said their site is getting slammed hard right now. 1942 and You Only Live Once 2 (I think that's what its called) are the reason the site is getting slammed

The site's back up, it's still really slow but I managed to get my order for BF1942 in - thanks. I thought about picking up No One Lives Forever 2 ($24.90) but decided to wait on that one for now.

I had the most unfortunate experience of playing the Mortyr demo when it was first released, but I think once again, Penny Arcade says it best:

Yes, they did look that weird at the beginning.

What made it SO bad?

Mortyr isn't that bad... it's like Return to Castle Wolfenstein meets Rise of the Triad without the zombies on fire. I mean - it's decent, but it just gets kinda boring. It's certainly worth .99.

Thanks for the post! I thought I would have to wait a few months to get NOLF 2 for a good price, but here it is! Thanks again!

Wanted to get this, even put it in my shopping cart but didn't pay for it yet. Came back later and their site is off line for maintenance and has been for over 24 hours, I think. Their 48 hour sale will be over by the time they come back up, I'm bummed.

I think they should run the offer again seeing as how their page has been down for half or more of the 48 hours.

I've ordered from them in the past, they seem like really friendly people and will go out of their way to make sure you're happy. Give them a call or send them an email on Monday and explain the situation, I would think they'll let you in on the deal. I think once the servers get back up they'll probably just start the 48 hours over but you never know.

They have a page on yahoo which I used to but NOLF 2. And I don't think they'll start the 48 hours over, since the page on yahoo shows the price for NOLF 2 now is 29.90, which is cheaper than others but it's not 24.90!
And BTW those of you that don't know about NOLF 2, the first one The operative: NOLF is much like Half-life with a great story but better stealth approach. NOLF 2 is much more polished with all the bugs or weak points fixed; AI is arguably the best in any game ever, with graphics that are on par with other games, and a new RPG style upgrades.

Damn, right when I decide to buy, they run out of stock!

BTW, there are 22 hours left in the "48-hour" deal.

Anybody care to take a guess when they will be back in stock?

I also recommend calling them. They are very friendly there. If you tell them you tried to order, but the web page was down, they might just let you get it at the special "48 hour" price. If not, they might run the special again. They ran that 48 hour special for MOH at least twice.

Their page is back up and I was able to access my shopping cart which still has BF1942 in it for $19.90 but also with a notation indicating the price has changed. I have e-mailed them asking if I can get it for $19.90 since their web page was down so long. I'll let you know what they tell me.
