Post your favorite game cheat of all time!
Hey all.
I was thinking today about my favorite video game cheat or code of all time.
I was surprised that it was hard to pick a favorite. It was a toss up with Contra for NES' Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start and Double Dragon for NES' glitch cheat when you could use a baseball bat on the invisible guy to power up to get the spin kick on the first level.
God, I love being a geek sometimes.
What are some of your favorites?

while not a cheat, the Tomb Raider nude patch was amusing
Also liked the Spy Hunter NES cheat/bug...on the 1st level, if u stuck to the right on the road and came to a 'Y' junction, you could drive off and onto the grass for most of the level. Im proud that I discovered that myself.

If it comes down to deliberately programmed cheats, my favorite would be the Contra cheat. It's classic, and one of the first deliberate cheats I ever saw.
If it comes down to "this wasn't meant to be a cheat, but I figured out a way to cheat the game", it would be placing the turtle shell on the on the stairs on the third level in Super Mario Brothers and jumping on it repeatedly to get 100+ lives. At least, I don't think that was deliberate....

Try this one: the original Super Mario Bros. cheat where you bang against a turtle on the stairs like a couple hundred times and get near infinite extra lives. In fact after 99 I think the numbers look funny and the game crashed sometimes.

In the first run of copies of the original Sonic on the Genesis there was a code where you could turn into any object in the game. For example- remember those huge gold rings that were at the end of each level? Well if you fancied yourself to be one of them, this code would allow you to turn into one. You could also fly through walls, lava, and pick any level to start on.
Sega soon found out and supposedly had it removed from future copies.
