Obi-Wan on the XBOX ....SUCKS!

Well I picked this sucker up this week off of half.com for $20 THANK GOD that's all I spent.

Ok this game totally SUCKS! Everything from voice acting, graphics, gameplay and, and, and hell EVERYTHING!

Is it just me? I was expecting something a little more entertaining! It's so boring and annoying! It's like getting a root-canal without novocain! THE PAIN!

Also is Jedi Knight II like this? I was going to pick that one up whenever it's released on the XBOX....but after this game...I think I'll pack my lightsaber and call it quits with Star Wars games.

LOL. $20 is just about what it's worth!

I just beat Obi Wan after having it since it came out many, many months ago. And no, Jedi Knight 2 is a much better game! Obi Wan was seriously rushed and was changed over to xbox platform half way through it's pc platform production. But as I'm a star wars fan, I had to own it I'm not of the "Jabba took a crap on it" opinion or the "hell, I'm a jedi" opinion therefore, I didn't vote. Is it a game only star wars buffs will enjoy... probably. Even then, most probably will not heh. But I've had a good time playing through it with my two boys (4 and 6)....

I've found all the console Star Wars games to be suck, so this one was no surprise. I can't decide if this one or that Starfighter one that was on the GC was worse... Both the Starfighter games were garbage imo.

Other than about 4 levels in Rogue Leader, I agree with Trigger and Jack.

Not to hijack this thread but....

How about the the Star Wars series on the SNES? Those games were awesome for their time (although Empire and Jedi were a little cheap with all those damn reappearing enemies).

The NES Star Wars games were better than the SNES ones. Rogue Leader is frustrating, but I like it a lot. The Empire Strikes Back was one of the best games on the 2600.

That said, nothing touches TIE Fighter. Nothing.

I will say that that Star Wars game on the N64 was okay... if it wasn't for that confounded controller.

If you manage to get gold medals your first time through, there's no replay value.

There hasn't been a decent Star Wars games since the original Star Wars arcade game.

Love those line graphics! Giant Asterisks for incoming laser blasts too!

Which I imagine most people did since the game is pretty easy and the requirements for a Gold Medal aren't very stringent.

My first game for N64 was Shadows of the Empire. I was blown away by the Hoth level, but disappointed to discover that most of the rest of the game sucked.

Those gold medals just add 2-3 more days of play time. When I say replay value I want a multi person mode!

You guys remember when Dark Forces came out for the PC? Oh man now that was a great game. I loved it! It was simple...but it was the first of it's star wars- kind

so, therefore, everyone think the latest "knights of the old republic" will be suck too? or how about the upcoming mmorpg SW Galaxies game...? Either of these have a chance given the SW track record?

I think knights of the old republic will be awesome! Also note it's been delayed....being delay is aways a good sign. NOT BEING RUSHED OUT!

As for star wars Galaxie I don't know too much about it. It does look pretty cool. I've never played a mmorpg. I just stick to FF games.

Being delayed is not always a good sign, but often it is.

Well - I wouldn't say the DNF delay is a bad sign, but it's certainly annoying. I'm still confident that DNF will be the best game ever. I'm talking about Daikatana and games like that. Besides - DNF hasn't been delayed yet - the release date is still the same "When It's Done"... I want to strangle them for the whole WID thing.

edit: Shuki pulled his comment saying "DNF Anyone?"

Anyway - I think deadlines are a good thing - if DNF had deadlines, they might have finished it by now and it would still be great. I think not having a deadline is what's making this beast drag on forever.

Wasn't Obi-Wan the X-box game that became an exclusive when the decided it was too crappy to even put on the PC? Or was that another Star Wars game?

If by too crappy you mean "too powerful" then yes.

I think you were maybe the only person on earth who had their expectations up for a Star Wars game. There are only a handful of good Star Wars console games in existance.

Quite frankly, LucasArts kind of sucks on anything that's not a 2D PC adventure game (although they did a damn good job with X-Wing and TIE Fighter).
