Virtual-On Marz for PS2 & TWINSTICKS!!!

As reported on The Magic Box:

Sega announced they will release a PlayStation 2 Twin Stick for their PS2 mech combat game Virtual On Marz, the Twin Stick will be released simultaneously with the game in spring 2003.

I am I the only one having to wipe drool off my chin? This will surely have iLink support for head-to-head like on the Dreamcast. I love this series.

I wouldn't pay $200 for this, but if it's a reasonable price I could be game. Although the Dual Shock should work pretty well, too.

Twinsticks are specially made controllers for Virtual On.

There are 2 sticks and 2 buttons on each stick (thumb/index fingers).

I have one for the saturn, one for dreamcast. Great game.

Don't feel so bad - I don't even know what Virtual On is.

Some people in the arcade have mad skills with the twin sticks, i used to get my butt kicked. For those who don't know, the arcade controller consisted of two sticks (hence twin sticks), they let you run in one direction and look and shoot in another at the same time I believe, its been awhile since I played the game. But it helps in the control of the game since its such a fast paced game. I wouldn't expect it to be more than $100 though, it will probably quite less I'm guessing. I think the dual shock might work ok too. I had no idea they were making a sequel to Virtua On, this is good news!

Is it possible to use the Twinsticks on non-Sega games like Gundam: Federation vs. Zeon? The arcade version of Gundam has almost identical sticks and control to Virtual On.
