who would own the rights to make a G.I. Joe game?
Of course I'm talking about the 1980's incarnation, where G.I. Joe was a special ops team that battled the terrorist orginization COBRA.
I know there was one game years ago for the NES. With Socom such a huge hit, I think the potential for a single/multi-player would be there but it would have to be executed properly.
Anyone know who owns the rights to it?

There's more I'm sure... There were a bunch of mods like this during the Quake 2, Half-Life, Soldier of Fortune days...

And Infogrames is all about licenses, so you never know. It's one of the reasons I left the company. As long as they had the cool license, who cared whether the game was any good.
Seriously though, they bought Hasbro to get the Atari license. I doubt anything in the G. I. Joe universe will ever come about.

I think Mame.dk is dead now, but you can probably dig up the Mame rom of G I Joe the arcade game from the early 90s elsewhere -- works well enough using the mouse to aim and a key to fire. That was a lot of fun. Haven't tried any Joe mods though.
