I just started playing SOCOM online last night and loved it. I got in with a group of guys that clearly played together before and we won 2 of 3 matches.

Inspired by The Offical DVD Talk Madden league, I thougth it would be fun to see if anyone wanted to start a DVDTalk SOCOM clan.

We could desiginate a night of the week to play or just meet up online whenever, it really doesn't matter to me.

Anyone interested?

After stupidly cancelling my order for SOCOM at Amazon ($39 shipped) I ended up getting a NA. Luckily, today I got them to reinstate my order for the old price. Should be up and running with this in a couple of days. W00t.

I still haven't gotten a NA, but I'm definitely considering it. Still haven't gotten SOCOM yet, either, but I'm just glad to be getting it at the lowered price. If I end up getting a NA, then I'd probably be interested in playing w/ other DVD Talkers. I can see myself getting REALLY frustrated by playing with people who aren't interested in being team players. Good idea!

Oh amazon still hasn't shipped that out yet? Damn, I guess that means I'll be waiting a while (although maybe not I got in early on the deal before I cancelled and the guy said he's reinstating my order so who knows, I may still be toward the front of the waiting queue).

BTW: There's a clan being formed at HTF already. That'd be an interesting rivalry. However they seem further along than we are. I might join theirs if it doesn't take off here.

If I had to I could squeeze off a few rounds as well.

I dunno, I got in on the deal in June, I think. It's supposed to be here today at the earliest, so who knows? Maybe I'll have a nice surprise when I check the mail today.

btw, I recieved my socom from amazon last week. I ordered about a month before it came out.

I just got my Socom from Amazon yesterday, but I'm still waiting for the NA. I guess that will give me time to practice, I suppose.

my brother has both but cant get online. we plug it into the cable modem box next to the computer and always get something that says it isnt pluged in. anyone know anything that we could do

I should be getting SOCOM any day now from Amazon. I will probably get a NA sometime soon. Once I do, I'll probably be done with playing some online SOCOM.

no, I had preordered it at that price and then I cancelled it. Now I am thinking of calling them up.
