Having problems with ps2 network adapter? Help.......
I have a usb dsl modem........I just know installed a ethernet card in my computer. I was told all I had to do was take patch cable out of the card into a hub and then another patch cable from hub to ps2. But when I go through the steps of connecting from ps2 it says network failed.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Mike

But where is the modem plugged in? It should be plugged into the hub as well. All Ethernet devices (PC, modem, PS2) should be plugged into the hub.
I have a switch that has two computers, the PS2, and my DSL modem hooked up to it and everything's working just fine.

Plug the USB modem into the computer.
plug the ethernet card into the hub.
enable internet connection sharing on the USB modem in Windows.
plug the ps2 into the hub and it will do the rest.

I had a problem similar to yours. I had to unplug my cable modem briefly, then plug it back in (to the power source). The modem recycled and everything was fine.
