Are there many of you getting this owesome game due at the end of the month?? I don't care for what system since it will be for all three consoles, but I personally will be getting this piece for my Xbox. How about you??

I haven't read or seen much about this game but I am a little excited. The Turok games are much maligned but I enjoyed them on the N64. I hope this game turns out well.

BTW, did you say end of the month? That's Mario time my friend. Every other game in my life goes on hold then. Hell, my whole life goes on hold once Mario comes out.

The schedule release date for turok will be 9-1-02!

I know many of you will be playing mario and I don't blame any of you and I wish I could too but I don't have a gamecube.

I have see tons of pictures of Turok and the trailers will leave your mouth open. That's how amazing this game will look.

I pretty much ignored this game until a few weeks ago when I stepped into GameStop and caught the trailer DAMN!!! -eek-
the game looks killer. I hope it plays just as well.

This game looks great, but has anyone read anywhere that it plays great too? I really need another first person shooter on the X-Box, cause I've almost worn Halo out.

I'm also wondering what the multiplayer is going to be like and if they are going to have co-op multi (like Halo). I hope the control scheme will mirror Halo too, because there is no way I can learn new combinations now that I've played Halo so much. I can't imagine any first person shooter on the X-box with any other kind of scheme.

Well I read the EGM preview and they said there were framerate problems, but they were hoping they would be resolved by the release date. Since you mentioned Halo, they did say this isn't a Halo killer, but should be a good game.

I'm looking forward for this coming out on Xbox because of the controller. I find the GCN controller isn't really condusive to FPS because of the tiny right analogue joystick, but that's just me. Definitely looks like something to tide me over until Halo 2 though. :)

The last Xbox mag had the trailer. :D Did any of you see the Redeemer type weapon and the mushroom cloud? Wooodoggy!

I am pretty sure, also, that the poster didn't care or intend for people to post what OTHER games they'll be playing instead of Turok. Kar10, you can correct me if I am wrong, and then we can all post tons of games we will be playing instead of Turok! Hell, we can also post what types of cars we drive and how our haircut is!!!

I do care about Turok, moreso than a lot of other people I think. That being said though I am going to have to skip it for awhile. That's the truth. I don't exactly see how I turned this thread into a thread about Nintendo. I was just thinking to myself about how 2 games I'm looking forward to will fit into my life. Deal with it.

Turok looks amazing! I'm playing Mario now...so I have no time to play another game. College starts once again Sept 3 (damn that's near) so that will drain the rest of my day. I'll endup picking this game up sometime later this year. Man my Gamecube is going to be hot this year. Nintendo finally has a awesome line up! Great stuff this Fall!

I was a huge fan of the original Turok for N64, it was going up against quake at the time. I enjoyed Turok better then quake believe it or not. The series kind of lost it's roots after that...

However, they are claiming that they are going back to their roots for this game. I will for sure be trying it out, I'll either get it for GC or Xbox, whatever loads faster and is cheaper.

Something else to think about though is the soon release of Timesplitters2 on all systems, I think it's going to clean house. Hopefully Turok will have a strong 1 player mode, because I don't see it standing up to TS2 in multiplayer.

As someone who's played just about every FPS game out there including Turok and Timesplitters 2 - I can say that Timesplitters 2 is lame and Turok isn't quite as lame as it used to be, but it's still a bit lame. Compared to the original games these titles are both somewhat improved, so anyone who liked the original Timesplitters and Turok will probably be a bit impressed here. Fans of more sophisticated FPS should probably give these a rental before committing the $$.

You've already played TS2? Or did you mean the original TS? I know this second version is a lare improvment over the original.

I played TS2 at E3 and it was admittedly better than the demo they had in OXM 10, but it still stunk IMO. Those who have never played FPS games on the PC might like it. This one is better than the original, but that's not saying much.

Hehhehe, if this Turok has multiplayer as wild as Turok: Rage Wars' multiplayer, then it is a must have. :D

OH man, the fun I had with Rage Wars.

I got an early copy of turok on PS2, the pop up is awful! Small plants would pop up 2 feet from my character. Played the Xbox version today, no pop up, and played alot better too. My Xbox has spoiled me.

Oh yeah, and Turok is in stores (gamestop) now!

I was in Gamestop yesterday and saw that they had a bunch of them... They had slit open all the cases and removed the discs. So when I buy a game from them, are they going to give me a new copy or do they just pop a disc back in one of the open cases? I consider that a used game. If it's open, it's used. I'm not paying full price for a used game. That's retarded for them to open the game boxes. If theft is such a problem, they should get a security system that works. Bah - I guess I'm just mad cuz I went to buy Mafia and nobody would sell it to me for 39 bucks.

I'm really toying with the idea of getting Turok for the Xbox... I didn't have enough time with it at E3 to make an informed decision. I'll have to rent it I guess.

Does Turok support SYSTEM LINK on the XBOX?????

Also, does anyone know when it will be released at MediaPlay or any of there associated stores??? (I have a $40 gift card burning a hole in my pocket???

Wal-Mart had copies when I was there on Thursday. I'm waiting to see some reviews before I buy. I'm not sure what the big secret is. For most games there would be several reviews by now....

Just wait til you find out they let employees rent new games!
