Sega Sports makes better basketball and baseball games. EA Sports makes better football and hockey games. That's just my opinion, of course. But Sega's basketball game and EA's hockey game ARE far superior to their counterpart's versions.

Face/Off, Just cause you say EA makes better football games doesnt mean Madden 2003 is good. NFL2K3 by Sega is by far SUPERIOR than Madden 2003. EA should be ashamed of themselves.

Why do some of you guys throw your opinions around as if they are undisputable facts? EA should be ashamed of themselves???? Why? Because they have a loyal legion of fans who love the tried and true gameplay? For every 2K3 supporter, there is at least 1, if not 2, Madden supporters. Thats not to diss 2K3 because I own and enjoy both games. Each has its own good points and I have not yet decided which one I prefer. If you think one is superior to the other fine. State your opinion and back it up with why you like it better. That is what these forums are for. Please just don't sit back and make outragious comments like "EA should be ashamed of themselves".

If I set it on easy I could probably beat the Rams with the Panthers already, but that's not the point...

Maybe next time you should read my post before replying, but again, that's just my opinion. But in all honesty, what can I say to a kid who in a nutshell just uses his own opinion as undisputed fact, especially right after typing "Just cause you say... doesnt mean..."?

I think EA should be ashamed of themselves for allowing Trip Hawkins to go start 3d0!!!!!

EA should have locked that bastard up after he quit/was fired, ASAP!!

Oh, I forgot the other part. The Steelers are grossly overrated. Maybe they took that into consideration....

I've got to spend some time playing both on the PS2 and they are both damn good. One thing I noticed is NFL2K3 seems a little slower this year. More like Madden but it does seem to make the running game a little more realistic because its harder to break away for long runs.

I'm still going with NFL 2K3 because I like the look and feel, but either football game is a good choice. Now if the stupid Game Cube version would ever come out I will be happy.

Oh my goodness!! Please say you didn't play NHL 2k2. If you played 2k2 and have this opinion, you are in a VERY distinct minority.

let's face it, EA sucks as a company. Sega 2k3 is the better game this year. Better game play and funner to play.

I now have both Madden 2003 and NFL 2k3 for PS2 and I definitely perfer Sega's offering. SEGA!!!!!!!

Better graphics on the NFL 2k3, better presentation. The DVD is like nearly 4 gigs while Madden is around 1.5gb

Maddens is a Sim mans game,NFL 2k series is for the arcady fans, and as for EAs hockey game IMO its the only hockey game out there, besides the fighting the game is pure fun and by far the most realistic hockey game and all the sliders you want, who ever thinks EA cant make good sports games are Sega fanboys or are in total denial,I do admit Sega owns in B-ball and Baseball games but there not perfect as there hockey game shows that.

You must not have played NHL 2K2 on the Dreamcast. Its an amazing Hockey game. Too bad there wasn't a multiconsole release. I'm not saying EA's game is bad, but the Sega one is about as good as it gets. Its missing Franchise mode, but I'm sure 2K3 will add it.

Sega Sports is not perfect either, Home Run King was terrible.

Absolutely.

I've got to chime in again on this. NHL 2k2 is an amazing hockey game. It easily redefined what a console hockey sim should be.

Luckily for EA shareholders, most people, if they have any frame of reference for Sega's hockey, think of a rushed and flawed NHL 2k. All it would take is one game played of 2k2 to see the light.
