I know this is a taboo topic but I'm not a thief. My sister is going away to college soon and I'd like to give her a copy of The Sims to take with her. I copied The Sims: Vacation onto a blank CD but when I try to start the game it says please insert the correct CD. I also tried installing the game using the burnt CD but that didn't work either. The installation fails at 15% and says there is something wrong with a file. Is this CD protected in some way? Am I just doing something wrong? That is entirely possible because I did just get this burner.

Any ideas? To prevent the spread of piracy you can just email me your responses. Thanks a lot!

To help you pirate the game?

Piracy is piracy.

Yes, all EA games have some sort of protection on them.

Copying a CD to give to someone else is piracy. If you want her to have the game, give her all the copies, including the original, of the game and it's not piracy.
