Looking for a list of MMORPG's that are out there
I'm bored and want something new to play, but I basically play 2 types, MMORGPS' and shooters. I know what I want in the shooters, but some good mmorpg's you never hear of around here so I'm wondering if someone has a good website where you can read up on them.
I've played :
Asheron's Call
Everquest
Anarchy Online
Dark Age of Camelot
I don't want to play :
Ultima Online
What out there have I not played that is worth it (games that are released mind you)? Is there such a game or am I going to have to stick to America's Army and Unreal Tournament 2003 once it's released.
On another note Horizons, which most considered Vaporware, is back! It's the game I'm most looking forward to, it was explained in details in the past, but the project was so ambitious it vanished for a while and people said it was just another vaporware game that would never live... but it's back and still looking good at : http://www.artifact-entertainment.com/horizons/

I was always interested in horizons but even now with a couple updates I think that this project is just too ambitious to have any success in a resonable amount of time. But it is nice to see that it isn't Vaporware (well we hope
I can't really think of any other than the ones mentioned.

Earth & Beyond by Westwood Studios http://ebweb.westwood.ea.com/
It's a MMORPG set in outer space. You fly around in space fighting, exploring, prospecting asteroids, and trading. You can even get out of your ship and walk around in starbases.
It's a fun game to play and it has fantastic graphics and visuals.
They are always looking for beta testers and it is farily easy to get in.
Check it out.

Thanks, its about the answers I was expecting, but no one mentions Lineage, The Bloodpledge. What can people tell me about it, it has like a million suscribers around the world so I'm wondering how good it really is.

Not a MMORPG, but Neverwinter Nights is shaping up well. Some of the Persistant Worlds being worked on now are quite fun and if you find the right ones, have strongs role players on board. Good times.

Oh yeah, also, the MMORPG I was working with for a while -- Mimesis Online appears to still be alive. Not sure how they've managed to survive this long, but they're still out there. They only just added Psionic skills which should have been in when I was beta testing last year. The graphics were incredible, but when they went live in January there was no quest system, broken (but very cool) combat, etc. Who knows, maybe by now they've fixed some that.
feel free to check it out at www.mimesisonline.com
I used to run the "official fanpage" and tested it all the way through -- by my reckoning they went live about 6 months too early despite my repeated listings of things that needed to be taken care of.

Mimesis Online, I read up on it and don't want to shell the bucks... it was another Anarchy Online beta bug ridden releases so I have no interest in trying it out.
I might just forget about all of them until UT2003 comes out and hope I get in a beta soon... last summer I quit Everquest, the next day joined Anarchy Online, played through beta and a month or so after and joined Dark Age of Camelot beta a few days after... too bad nothing like that happend this summer.
