One more problem I should have mentioned -- a number of times in the last coupla weeks -- maybe 8 times easily, I've been shifting areas or trying to save and the disk'll start spinning and then it'll keep going, the screen'll go black and I'll get a dirty disk error -- really really really annoying -- especially when it happens in the middle of a save or something like that.

I don't think there's any way I can swap out my disk at this stage -- over a month after I bought it. Oh well.

I've gotten that error once. Luckily it had a "Restore" saved game that put me where I left off.

Even with the occassional freeze, it's still worth it.

Yeah, there have been other people that have that problem too.

Bethesda Softworks says to clear the xbox cache. You do this by loading three other games. By that time, the morrowind cache is clear and your game should be back to normal.

If that doesn't work, then if you have a memory card, then move your save games to that, and delete all morrowind stuff on the hard drive by using the xbox dashboard. That should fix it as well.

I have only received the dirty disk error once. Good thing I saved a few minutes earlier.

Thanks for the tip -- I'll try that out tonight. Heck, I have almost as much space taken up by Morrowind as I do with my ripped MP3s -- I was deleting old games whenever I saved new ones, but that started taking up too much game time -- ;p.

Oh yeah, anyone else here defeated Umbra (greatest warrior on the planet guy)? Pretty tough. The first time I tried, I used up all my health potions and at the end he was knocking me down with every hit -- when I checked, it turns out he had already destroyed EVERY single piece of arm and leg armor I was wearing before killing me. Second time I beat him, but only because I was able to use a summon scroll for a skeleton and flame atronach to distract him. Toughest single guy I've come across so far (level 23 now). -- he's near the Saturnan cave outside Suran -- Fighters guild quest from Ald-ruhn.

I ran into to him last night. He kicked me into next week the first time I fought him. After that, I used a ring I got near Gnisis with 80% chameleon effect and it wasn't that bad of a fight. He would swing blindly and hit me, but I just wailed on him for awhile and he finally died. That is one badass sword.

I just use bows.

Get whoever is killing me to chase me untill I can find a vantige point they cant get to. (or they get stuck on a piece of the game geometry and arent smart enough to go around)

Then I lettem fly.
Safe and sure

Yeah that umbra guy is pretty tough, at the time (I think I was about level 17 or 18) I summoned a daedric long sword using a demon katana. That and I drank about four bottles of sujamma (I think thats what its called, the one which boosts your strength by 50 points for 60 seconds) which boosted my strength to like 270 something. Even with the boost he whittled me down to about 10 hp before finally going down. Butt stompin sword though.

Yea

I got a Daedric Claymore enchanted with "Absorb Health".
For every hit I get between 30-63 points of it back as health.
When I use it I rarely drop below 50% on my health bar.

Plus I decided to have fun and I enchanted it with SoulTrap.
When I kill things with it I get thier souls.
Hard to keep enough empty soul gems, so I only use it on bigger badies. Save it till it realy does good.

Next Daedric Claymore I get I'm going to try and enchant it with more Absorb Health and without the soul trap.
Make a good set.
