What happened to puzzle games?
Where are they? I love puzzle games! I'm not talking about games with puzzles in them like Resident Evil, though I do like those too. I'm talking about the straight up "puzzle" puzzle games. My favorites are Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo and Tetris Attack. Lately I've been noticing there haven't been many puzzle games. What are your favorites? Also can anyone recommend a good puzzle game or one that is coming out?

Thanks for the opinions everyone...I expected more people to like puzzle games but it looks like its still a niche category. I'll try to check out tetris worlds and Zoocube. I guess Super Monkey Ball 2 could be a puzzle game in a way so there's something to look forward to...kind of like an action puzzle game.
I ruled with Ken on Super puzzle fighter

I am a puzzle fan, but picky at times as to which ones I enjoy.
Recently I have been enjoying ZooCube though. I recommend though that you go for the GBA title if possible, as you get the same gameplay experience for cheaper.

Yes where are they? Super Puzzle Fighter (PSX) and Pokemon Puzzle League (N64) are my favorite puzzle games of all time. These games are the only reason why my PSX and N64 are still set up. I don't understand why Capcom and Nintendo have yet to update these games... Used copies of Puzzle Fighter are going for $80 on eBay!

I guess it's possible the XBOX version is better, but I wouldn't count on it.

I'm not sure if it came out in the states, but i remember puyo puyo on the jp dc was one of the most fun puzzle games i've ever played. I'd rank it right up there with super puzzle fighter and dare i say the original tetris. Simple yet fun and had an interesting cast of characters.

I agree with the "Bust-A-Move rocks" sentiment. Go here: http://www.penny-arcade.com/pbo.php3 and find out how to play Puzzle Bobble Online. Of course, I don't know if anyone still plays on there, because I haven't played it in a while. Fun stuff, though.

I have had bust a move in my neo geo arcade cabinet for the past 3 years straight.
also, has anyone else played "Intelligent Qube" for the PlayStation? Rocked.
Also, take "IQ" and "Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo". Both great puzzle games that went underlooked and now are quite rare and in demand, getting $70-80+ each on eBay.

They have multi-player among various single-player games. You can also play your own music with this game in case you get tired of their music.
