Just start a new game, it'll ask if you want to use the data from when you beat it.

Made some more progress. I'm on chapter 11 now and I still am not very into the game. It just seems too repetitive and linear to me. If I had to choose this or RE, I'd personally go for RE. It's a good game, but just not what I was expecting or looking for.

This game isn't anything like RE, nor is it supposed to be. It's a combat oriented action-adventure game, where as RE's a survival horror game.

So it just comes down to which type of gameplay you prefer.

I love both games, but prefer ED myself.

I sold my copy of RE because I couldn't stand the sticky controls and the sometimes awful POV ... guess I'm just not used to RE games. I did like ED, though, even though some of the levels got boring after a while.

The most boring and repetitive chapter was Chapter 10.
Spoiler:
when you have to go through to the nine different towers to cast the giant dispel magic spell.
Talk about repetitive. I realize RE and ED are meant to be two different styles of game but I just think that I prefer RE's true survival horror nature to ED's adventure theme.

That's fine many do. I just get tired of hearing it always compared to RE when they are completely different games.

If you didn't like that part of chapter 10, you're really going to dislike having to do it again later in the game.

Oh, it's actually more irritating later in the game...

Spoiler:
casting the shield spell over and over.

Has anyone finished it 3 times yet? Is the Eternal mode only good in "Jump To"?

The End (w/question):
Spoiler:
Am I the only one that thought the end was lame? A voice over from Alex that she's not the only one, and then a voice over from Gramps about Mantorok(sp?) festering....and plotting, with the camera just panning around, and how Mantorok is the one that summoned the Roivas' as revenge against the others.
Or did I goof something up so I didn't get the "best" ending?

The game's pretty easy in the beginning. Later in the game there's more and tougher enemies. Some enemies steal a lot of your sanity and you're not going to be able to finish off all the enemies a lot of times. Plus Alex goes pretty nuts after reading some of the chapters.

I know this is old, but wanted to say, this game is sweet .

I just recently got it via trading my Beach Spikers for it on the trading forumn, and I'm loving this. I'm on Chapter 6 as we speak.

I love killing the lights, and pumping up the dolby, and playing that thing in progressive mode, haha my girlfriend hates the chanting of the spells though, she said that game is for devil worshippers.

Glad you're enjoying it. It's definitely a great game. I played it back to back to back to get the best ending, something I've never done before.

I've been pleasantly surprised with this game. I originally played a demo way back before the Gamecube launched and wasn't very impressed. Fortunately, the demo ended up not being very indicative of how the final game plays. I'm up to chapter 10 and really enjoying it, so far. Thank god it doesn't use the Resident Evil "tank" controls!

LOL! I never thought of RE's controls that way. That control setup definitely wouldn't have gotten the job done in ED.

So I got the best ending, since this thread is reopened. Definitely like the game, only wish I actually had surround sound and a high def tv to really enjoy it. Oh the problems of being poor.
