JK 2: Jedi Outcast and the Gravis Eliminator Aftershock controller. Help!
I just picked up the Gravis Eliminator Aftershock dual analog controller so I can attempt to play Jedi Outcast HALO-style. (I can hear the groans from the hardcore PC gamers now “just use mouse/keyboard you lamer!” Well I know all of the arguments, but I never could get used to the m/kb thing and I just like the feel of a dual a dual analogue controller.)
I have the movement controls mapped (Right analog stick = mouse, Left analog stick = L, R, forward & back) but I can’t get any of the other buttons to work. I used the Gravis software to map all of the keystroke functions, but when I am in-game no buttons work.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Doe anyone know where I can download a pre existing GameSet for Jedi Outcast with this controller?
If this controller is not the best solution, can any one else recommend a controller that works well with JK 2?
Thanks a TON!
Cheers,
Josh

I'll be watching this thread. I want to buy a gamepad controller for my PC cause I'm a diehard console player. I just don't know which gamepad is going to have the best compatibility with games such as Jedi Outcast, MOHAA, and Ghost Recon. Any suggestions on a good gamepad?

the problem with the controller.. there is not enough buttons to cover everything you will be doing in the game.
I have my set up like this
Mouse control
A = left strafe
D= right strade
space = back
S = forward
Alt = jump
Caps = Saber stance change
Z= force push
C= force pull
X= Force run
Q= mind trick
W = Use
R and T = cycle through force powers
E = force grip
G = duel challange
Basiclly the conrtols for this games I can see go's well over the amount of buttons a controller can handle for you to succesfully play to the best. My suggestion is to use the keypad or arrows for movement, since it has that controler feel to it. I started playing mouse on quake, it was strange at first, but with a little practice it becomes second nature to you. but if you still want a stick, I'm not sure what to suggest. sorry.

FYI, in case you didn't know already, there is an adapter available to use the PS2 Dual Shock with a PC. I read about it on IGN's site and they liked it a lot.
I put a link to it on the recent GTA3 thread.
