Gamecube Reset?
I just bought a Gamecube. What is the proper way to take a game out and put a new game in? Seems like a silly question, but if I just open the door and put a new game in, it asks for the old disk unless I hit the reset button. And, sometimes the reset doesn't work. Even if I turn it off first and change the game, it asks for the game I just had in. What's up with that?
I have an Xbox. I take a game out and put a new one in and it recgonizes is, no problem.

According to Nintendo, here is the safest way to change games:
1. Open door while power is still on.
2. Remove old game.
3. Power down.
4. Put in new game.
5. Power up.
For steps 3-5 you can usually hit Reset instead, but as you've already noticed not every game recognizes that you are doing that.
