Hands down, one of the coolest commercials I've ever seen, and the controversy can't be anything but good for the XBox.

Europe gets awesome commercials for games, but the commercials don't really have anything to do with the products.

That XBox ad seemed vaguely reminiscent of a series of PS2 ads directed by David Lynch that were used in Europe, but never made it over here.

One of the standouts of those ads was one in which a deer is crossing a road, and it looks like it's about to get creamed by a semi truck, but the truck hits the deer and crumples like a tin can, while the deer walks away unharmed.

Of coruse, once again, it has nothing to do with the PS2. I think advertising in Europe centers on associating a certain idea with a product, rather than actually showing the software or pushing the console's technical merit.

The ad certainly doesn't offend me or anything, but it doesn't do anything for me either. I think it's a stupid ad.

What's really creepy is that the younger version of the flying person doesn't have any genitalia.

Well, that was an odd commercial.

Essentially you could put about any product in at the end and it'd still work. Gotta love obscure European advertising.
